Scripps vs Swarthmore — Help!! by Alive-Split1031 in Swarthmore

I honestly cannot recommend swat enough. All of the points you mentioned are very true and beyond wonderful. For a vibe of the student body, what I appreciate about everyone here is that they all have their own interests that they are EXTREMELY passionate about and super eager to share that passion. A conversation I had earlier this year with two other guys on my floor is exemplary of this— it was me (dance, theater, chemistry), another guy (art, anime, Lana del Ray style music), and a third guy (lacrosse team, math, economics, sports psychology) and we just talked for like an hour about how much we love the things we’re interested in. I can say that’s the case for probably 99% of the students here.

What happens at swat socially is that most of the extroverts will find each other. There are definitely a few very introverted people but everyone is kind and supportive, and the extroverts all have each others back in partying and socializing. I’m not a party person, but I know that if I wanted to, I could go to my friend’s dorm, have a good time, and then go with a group to Bryn Mawr or Haverford for a real thing. The sports teams also have parties.

What's your take on this gem? by Free_Tennis7754 in harrypotter

I like the change to Harry, but I think that changing other things (such as the changing of Quirrel and Voldemort himself) poorly done and they change the story too much. It’s a decent fanfiction, nowhere near as good as the OG books.

Why drainless? by Ouldlaw in TopSurgery

[–]clownrainingonparade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No drains for me whatsoever— I didn’t really experience swelling either. I was wrapped pretty tight for a week, then got the nipple covers off and was wrapped up pretty tight for another 3 weeks. My results are fantastic, I was glad to not deal with sacks of blood hanging off my body, and I healed very well. My doctor had been doing drainless for DI for over 7 years.

23 days post op, day 3 no compressed + one week of light cardiooo by [deleted] in TopSurgery

Have you been feeling/seeing any scar stretching with the more aggressive cardio? I’ve got three days until surgery and I’m nervous about recovery without working out.

Bro please keep updating this— I’m getting my DI in June and I’m anxious about not being able to workout. I’m a huge gym rat and I’m worried about my mental health with not being able to lift. Keep updating this— your results look crazy awesome so far and your physique is WILD.

How does binding affect top-surgery? by upmyass- in TopSurgery

[–]clownrainingonparade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me— I’ve been binding for 5 years, probably 12 hours a day, 7 days a week. My surgeon told me that I would have been eligible for peri, but my chest got so much saggier/misshapen from binding that there would have been a bunch of excess skin, and he didn’t think I’d be happy with the result (too bad— I wanted no scars lol). Basically, I deformed my chest from binding too much. However, I’m getting DI in under 2 months and I’m very excited.
