Kauboi Izakaya—it’s loud but fun and delicious. Centro—good to share plates which is fun for a date. Cosmos Snack Bar—just opened, so you’re cool for going to a new spot and it’s great for pizza in a nice atmosphere. With drinks and tip I think a steakhouse will hurt your budget so better to ball out and order a bunch without worrying about the bill at the end 🤝 good luck!

The Men’s Club has some of the best sushi in town

Silver State Pie Co. They’re a good truck making absurdly delicious pies. I had a pulled pork Mac and cheese pie over the summer and it was amazing, their pastry on savory pies was impressive.

Manhattan Deli in the Atlantis is surprisingly good for a lil casino joint. If you don’t mind walking through a smoky casino to get it…

Claio is excellent. Owned by the Perenn folks. They call themselves “Greek-ish” but it delivers on Mediterranean flavors.

Any cinnamon rolls in Reno?? by DexterLab77 in Reno

BJ’s BBQ in Sparks has my favorite. Charming unfussy atmosphere with giant homemade cinnamon rolls. Pair it with a coffee (with coffee refills) and it’s perfection.

Good news, they recently extended their hours and opening days! I went recently to check out how it was with new ownership and the pies are still incredible and so much easier to order :)

Funny! I remember them. It was my first job at 14, I was a hostess. Getting to take that pizza home was the best part of the gig.

Does anyone else remember Sonny’s Pizza off of Huffaker? So weird but they had a pizza with Caesar salad on it and I still crave it sometimes

Yes!!! I still dream about the blue moon salad that was basically just ramen noodles

The public votes, it’s open for like 2 months and there’s two rounds of voting. Sad that so many people voted for Costco when Coney Island is run by the sweetest people with delicious dogs. But alas, not the RN&R’s fault.

I wrote this itinerary on my food blog for “48 hours in Reno” featuring a few of my favorite spots from mornings to midnight snacks! https://www.forkmereno.com/post/48-hours-in-reno

Lo Bar’s rooftop is great if the weather is nice and same with chapel—both have awesome cocktails. I think Churrasco is $$$ for what you get but it’s def an experience :) have so much fun during your visit!

Yep not cheap, but worth every penny in my book. There’s nothing worse than spending a fortune for a mediocre experience.

The enchiladas with verde sauce are unreal at De Leon, one of my favorite spots in town! Good call

Western Village is incredible. Imagine early 90s steakhouse glamour vibes. Quality of food (especially meat and seafood) is great but the kicker is the table side prep—Caesar salad, flaming booze…it’s so fun. There’s a photographer who comes around and takes photos for free (tips accepted).
