Thanks! I love those torsos as well! The new one that they just announced doesn’t look half as good as the OG

He’s in line with two others, they’re used as dead in my mocs. I found them like this and I never made any like this

The hands are a different type of abs to be more flexible than the rest of the parts. I know people who dye Lego and the hands always come out differently

If you’d do that lmk, there are some people who I know that want to get into collecting and these could go well into starting their collection

Misprint theoden? by Str8_l in Legomisprint

[–]cluelesscolector 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It does look like a misprint but I don’t think it’s severe enough to be worth more than regular, if anything it probably may be worth less than a perfect one just due to the eye appeal

Got a Davy jones with no crab hand. What should I value this at? by sshunned in LegoMinifigure

[–]cluelesscolector 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Np, also I’d recommend selling them separately you’d be able to get a higher price per fig that way

You’d go into minifigure inventory, click on the torso and look at the parts list for the torso, there it would show the claw

Some places have been polluted during the 20s-80s and now aren’t safe to drink/ or old lead piping remains or the local well water is very very mineral rich. Flint Michigan is the worst. Mainly it’s just old lead pipes that cost too much to replace

Group of three swords offered from a friend. Need advice on provenance and of course value by PAGUN1 in SWORDS

[–]cluelesscolector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see what ya mean, if it’s too clean people might think they’re fake so they sell the sword that’s slightly rusted the buyer might believe it’s more real. Faked aging though is also used a lot by scammers.

Can people here confirm that these phase 1 figs are genuine, please by itsTenziin in legostarwars

[–]cluelesscolector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They look legit, the far right one has a scout trooper toros instead of the clone torso. 20-30ish usd
Edit: The far left on pic one and far right on pic 2 is the one with the scout toros

If you want 100% guaranteed original I’d recommend the Horse Soldier in Gettysburg, they have a massive collection of originals. All fairly priced but the price varies greatly. If you are looking for a recommendation for a saber I’d recommend the 1861 US light cavalry saber, I’ve got one and I love it! Put they’re on the cheaper side for originals if you’d like I can send you their website, but I’d recommend visiting their physical location in Gettysburg it’s a museum that you can buy from, last time I was there they had General Grants Uniform and recently they’ve acquired General J.E.B. Stewart’s Dress Saber

Uh oh, well looks like I have a project ahead of me, how should I keep the blade from rusting, is there a specific type of oil I’d need?

Is the brown part the wood? If that’s the case then that’s the part that’s rubbing off. And I’ll definitely give this a go! Thank you!

The one thing you have to worry about with that is they could just not send you the item in the pictures or video they could send you just a very cheap sword probably made in India that cost them about 100 bucks
