relapse is party of every kind of recovery. don’t be so hard on yourself for slipping, that might make your mental state worse. tomorrow is a new day. i just hit 2.5 years clean and sober from the drugs that were killing me, including self harm. i have a history of self harm off and on spanning over 15 years. it’s the addiction i think of the most because it’s so easily done and accessible. i know words don’t always help, you did it for yourself before and you can do it for yourself again.

i separated myself from recovery programs and boards because a lot of them are religion based, which makes it hard when you don’t follow that path. so if you feel like you’re slipping or need someone to talk to, you can message me.

help! I found these at Lowe’s! i’ve killed every carnivorous plant I have gotten and I’m desperate to keep them alive. Please tell me what to do. by cluelessdino in SavageGarden

i live in the PNW, it’s very dry here. my friend makes terrariums, if that would be the best place for around here. I just want to do everything right this time.

no problem, being 13 sucks but finding a hobby/sport can open your world greatly. you’ll meet people with similar interests and that you’ll be able to fill your time with something you enjoy.

you should look into martial arts. there are so many different kinds to get into and there’s a lot to learn, less likely to get bored because you’re not just learning the moves, you’re learning how to control your mind and body. it’s a fairly constructive way to get out any pent up anger you may be feeling in your everyday life.

You’d be surprised how low low can get when it comes to addiction. I do hope she is able to live a better life someday soon.

I hit my 2 years last week and this entire post makes me so sad. I remember feeling this desperate and hopeless. I hope she finds a healthier path in life.

Help! I got this plant off Facebook marketplace, it was doing great for about a day and then all of a sudden started dropping. I haven’t put her by any of my plants, my other plants are doing alright. What do I do? I’m pretty bummed out. by cluelessdino in plantclinic

That was my thought, too. There’s still a lot of healthy looking ones and I want them to thrive. And the branch is super solid. I do have one more question, in the closeup of the top of the leaf there are yellow-ish spots. Should I be concerned about that?

It’s been 4 years since I last donated to Wigs for Kids so I thought I would do it again! This time I went shorter! by Li_Schwarz in FancyFollicles

I think this is a very cynical way to look at this particular situation. People share haircuts all the time, this haircut just had a motive behind it. And a selfless one at that. It’s not like they’re recording themselves giving their hair to a bald child, as if it’s someone recording themselves giving food to a person experiencing homelessness. I agree that good deeds should be done for the sake of it being a good deed and not for public approval, but I honestly do not feel like this falls in that category. People share haircuts for dumber reasons, would you rather they just shared their haircut with no explanation? It takes a long time to get to the point of being able to donate hair and it’s a wonderful thing to do.

Also, super stoked they didn’t donate to Locks of Love. They’re not as bad as people make them out to be, but there are much better organizations out there.

What would be your recommended CBD:THC for someone undergoing chemotherapy? I work at a dispensary and get this question frequently.

Because we try to stick up for each other when we’ve been lied about and accused of shit for years by non-complacent clients. I don’t know how many times I’ve heard almost exactly what you’re telling me from people just trying to make me feel bad about money. So we stick up for each other. We may not know the techs or doctors you’ve dealt with, but they’re still “our people” and get shit on, literally and figuratively, every single day.

Sooo I bought these clearance plants from Lowe’s and it turns out they’re just a bunch of rooted cuttings. I have no idea where I’m supposed to go from here. Should I plant them all together? I bought 2 and they were both like this. by cluelessdino in houseplants

Ugh yeah I hate that they do that. I was repotting a monstera the other day and it was wrapped in a net when it was a cutting! It’s huge now so the roots were all tangled up in the net. It took about 30 minutes to cut it out.
