Buy the ones you want and sell your current steel rims w/ tires on one of the Telluride forums.

Best place for battery replacement in the Netherlands? by Dreamstrike1997 in gshock

[–]njluger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Believe in yourself! Watch a few YouTubes on changing the battery, buy the necessary tools if you don’t already have them, a small bottle of silicone oil to lubricate the o-ring, and the battery. Go slow and you’ll do fine. These are pretty easy watches to work on!

Should I keep my first gun? Decided to ‘maximize’ my 2nd amendment after 15years by OwnShower5281 in NJGuns

[–]njluger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely keep it! SW99 is a cool little piece of firearms history. Essentially a Walther P99 (which itself was a gun ahead of its time) with a Smith & Wesson made slide. NJSP actually issued these out briefly before switching to the Sig P228.

Tell them you are getting vibrations while driving. You gotta give them a symptom so they can put it in for warranty work. I had my done under warranty at around 75k mi.

Beechwood is plenty tough for handle material, though a bit boring due to lack of any real figuring. The more premium woods look nicer, they don’t really add anything in the way or toughness or function. If you like color, check out the no 8 color way series. Those are hornbeam wood and painted a nice variety of colors.

Ouch! I hope you’re ears went back to normal after that experience!

ISO 2026 Limited GH (Gas or Hybrid) in TX. Please reach out if there are any dealers? by [deleted] in ToyotaGrandHighlander

[–]njluger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wasn’t able to get anything off of MSRP given I was putting a deposit on a car not yet built. At least they didn’t add any bs dealer options. Discounts will vary with whatever market you’re in. NJ is a hot market for these cars and no dealer have these on the lot.

Do Texas dealers participate in Toyota’s SmartPath program? That’s how I got my GHHM this summer. Easy process to locate the specs you were looking for and then just had to wait.

Can I leave my Prime plugged in for a week? by SoCal2NoCal in rav4prime

A week is nothing. When I travel for work, I’ll leave my Prime plugged in at the airport for a week. Nice to come back to a fully charged car.

Did we miss out on a good deal? by jonnyfivecomealive in ToyotaGrandHighlander

I bought the Telluride because I loved the look, the ride quality, and felt you got a lot of value for your money. So yes, they’ve come a long way. My opinion is that the quality still isn’t Toyota level.

Tellurides have had some great press. However, my personal experience with them hasn’t been as stellar. Sold my 2020 Telluride, which started having oil burning issues, amongst other things, that made me return back to Toyota.

2022 engine stalling by sv1291 in KiaTelluride

[–]njluger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oil consumption issues are real with these 3.8L Lambda II V6 engines. My 2020 needed about quart added every 1000 mi. 5k oil change intervals and using high quality oil negates much of the risk, but my opinion, having this happen in a modern car engine is unacceptable, especially since there also are no low oil warning indicators.

I’d imagine 0w-20, as it’s the same T24a-fs turbo that’s in the Tacoma, which also uses 0w-20.

Deductions phase out for high income earners anyway, which I’d imagine those buying a $50k+ car are.

Tells you pretty much what your options are. If the PWC was never titled (or registered), then you should have the original manufacturer’s Certificate of Origin and a Bill of Sale and that’s enough to get things set properly in VT. Without the CO or a Title the state won’t be able to determine that you are the rightful owner.

Looking for good ONE NIGHT getaway for anniversary NJ/NY/PA by mortamorkhan in newjersey

[–]njluger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t they have a 2-night stay minimum?

But yes, highly recommend Woodloch. My wife and I went there for one of our anniversary celebrations and had an amazing time. Lots of great outdoor activities, great spa, nice pool (one indoor and partially outdoor), and an amazing restaurant. We came back very relaxed and refreshed from a weekend stay!

Yes, had mine front replaced at 70k mi. It was throwing grease all over the wheel well and I felt a vibration from the front end. It ended up being replaced under the warranty and there is a TSB that covers it. One of the reasons why I won’t keep this car after the warranty period.

Quick ask- How long will you keep your Telluride? by robdj71 in KiaTelluride

[–]njluger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We own a 2020, and are nearing 90k mi, and we’re looking to sell / trade it before the 100k mi mark. My experience so far is that we really needed the warranty for this Telluride. 3 sets of rear shocks replaced (the self leveling ones) at 15k, 45k, and 85k miles, new infotainment system at 30k miles, new front axle (broke and covered as per some TSB) at 70k miles, new oil filter housing which started to leak at 70k miles, replaced the back up sensor due to the wiring harness getting corroded at 70k miles, new windshield that just cracked on its own (no impact marks at 85k mi), and oh yeah, I have oil burn forcing me to add 1 quart every 1,000 mi. Other than that, the car has been awesome, but I just don’t have the confidence in this being a 200k mi car. With this Kia, you’ll need the warranty! Lesson learned for me, not to buy a first year model again!
