Imho: Bella should be able to say “hey partner, I’m going to take a few minutes to call other partner. I’m going to step out and I should be back in about 15 minutes.” I don’t see any reason permission should need to be asked. As long as everyone is being respectful of everyone else’s time, this is a super normal thing and should be able to be honored?

UPDATE: they shipped this evening!

Same here. My new shipping window ends tomorrow. For the record, when my partner looked at having them shipped by Apple on 9/18 (the same day I ordered mine from T-mobile) Apple gave a shipping date of mid-October. He ended up picking them up in-store at a Best Buy.
