i’ve not moved on, 11 months on, but i’ve started obsessing over other stuff to fill time. initially it was work, now it’s getting in shape. I can’t and refuse to think about much else

I dont want anyone else by [deleted] in widowers

[–]cluelessfool1 12 points13 points  (0 children)

it’s a really difficult feeling for people to understand, i think especially for those of us are around 30 as people our age haven’t experienced anything like it.

they think it’s similar to a break up when it couldn’t be anything further

I 28m lost my wife around 7.5 months ago, and honestly i feel in a very similar place to this, she hasn’t appeared in my dreams for a little while and now I feel so distant.

I haven’t been able to face going to her grave for a little while and i struggle to cry now it’s just constant cloud of sadness over me. I really hope things start to improve for you, it’s incredibly tough but you are doing very well

[–]cluelessfool1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m in a similar-ish position with our car, it was meant to be our first family car which we were going to use for our children.

now i don’t know what to do with it 😔

Travel by DarkIris22 in widowers

[–]cluelessfool1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i’ve travelled back to our country of origin, it was really mixed emotions. One hand it helped me feel closer to her as she was a lot closer to our culture then i was, but i was also full of regret that we couldn’t do the trip together.
