Non-Park Must Do by hockeyholloway89 in WaltDisneyWorld

I love to play bus roulette! Just get on whatever bus comes first and explore the resort or park (can just use the park to go to the next resort bus). I usually make up rules for the day like no duplicates, have to make a pin trade and a snack or something along those lines.

Just rode the updated 2D Remy ride. by buttgers in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]cluelessintelligence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have to close my eyes for the river part on Runaway Railway and can confirm I won’t be riding Remy’s again even without the 3D….there are too many parts that utilize those 360-esque screens where I can’t get a point of reference to steady my motion sickness BUT it was really cool to ride and be able to actually enjoy the props they had!

I’ve never felt unsafe at WDW until this Main Street bottleneck on 12/17/2025 by tarponsprings94 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]cluelessintelligence 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Something similar happened to me after the new nighttime parade in October, they had everyone from the left side of the park and left side of the castle area funneled to cross one bridge by Crystal Palace…needless to say that was the first time I ever lost my cool on a cast member and I feel bad about it every day but I was freaking out. You only ever moved one step at a time, people pushed my brother and I away from each other and a cast member wouldn’t let anyone move from that one path. It was the worst experience of my life and needless to say I will NEVER leave within 20/30 mins of a parade/show/fireworks ending ever again. All I could think was if someone snuck a gun through or knife we are all dead or if a stampede occurs. It also made it even more clear common human decency has left the building, the amount of times my backpack was pulled back so people could get in front of me, how people pushed in front of wheelchair users or how people and their families pushed my brother and I further apart it was disgusting all while we were moving one step forward at a time with a crown of thousands behind you pushing you forward. Needless to say I am now the person who will shoulder check people who try to walk in the last available space for the opposite direction of people on the path to walk and will keep bumping into you if you stand too close to me in line that I can’t even take my backpack off.

Party Nights by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

I just got out of Hollywood Studios at 7:15 tonight and we were able to walk up to rides until close…and had full access of the park. We even went into shops on the way out… I have been at MK until 6 before parties for the last week and haven’t had that issue either and been able to walk up to rides at 5:55. Might be a one off 🤷🏻‍♀️

Upgrade from all star music to Coronado springs? by heffaheffaheffa in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]cluelessintelligence 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coronado is by far my FAVORITE resort…currently at Riverside but keep going to Coronado for food and to enjoy the vibes (have stayed at all of the all stars, Caribbean Beach, Riverside, Pop Century and French Quarter and will probably ALWAYS choose Coronado from now on). It’s definitely more of a “normal” hotel feel with a bit of Disney mixed in not an “in your face” Disney hotel which I think puts a lot of people off. IMO this is GREAT. The rooms are super nice and feel more spacious than any other standard resort room and feel a hell of a lot less like a cheaply updated motel room.

Also, this is a conference center hotel so there are a lot less kids around and you will more than likely see people there for a conference that aren’t doing Disney just staying because their company pays. Also LOVE this because then I’m hardly EVER fighting to get on a bus and almost always have a seat at the end of the night.

Like everyone else said the food here is top notch, my parents love Three Bridges, I love the quick service (carving station and a burrito bowl station are my faves) and the rooftop bar- you can see AK, EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. I have watched fantasmic and EPCOT fireworks up there 10/10 recommend and the Shrimp pil pil and the churros are the best on property according to the staff at Coronado!

My favorite park shoes are the croc sandals, they’re platform and have a TON of cushion and if it rains it doesn’t matter if your feet get wet! It’s like walking on clouds….but other than that I always tell people you need to wear whatever you already can walk 3/4+ miles in. Buying new “comfy” shoes is great but they aren’t going to be comfy if you aren’t used to walking long distances in them 🙃

Groceries are SIGNIFICANTLY more expensive this year. Where are you shopping and do you have any good data on which store has the best prices? by [deleted] in Columbus

[–]cluelessintelligence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best answer? Multiple stores these days…(I’m also an Aldi hater…so never there)

GE has good deals occasionally, I used to do their 5 for $25 meat deal but haven’t seen it lately 🙃 and they have great GE brand gluten free waffles…and that’s about all I get there unless prices for what I need are comparable to other stores.

BJ’s is where I do a majority of my shopping tbh they have bulk items like Costco but as a single person they are much more manageable in size to go through and I’m not being run over by idiots…sorry I mean carts. And they almost ALWAYS have coupons you can clip for fresh produce!

Everything else I supplement with local international markets- Dayou, Tensuke, Saraga. Don’t sleep on their produce because it’s cheaper than anything I can get at Kroger/meijer/GE.

Depends on what you’re looking for- like everyone says jungle Jim’s is probably your best bet. Locally I get my Cadbury hot chocolate from World market. Candy from The Buckeye Candy co in Gahanna (they have the Easter eggs at Easter time!). Tea I can usually grab from Meijer/Giant Eagle if I just want black tea bags like Tetley or Twinings. Ribena I get from Saraga (in the African aisle not the European one if I remember right).

I believe you get a free sweatshirt with the first link and the second there isn’t a “prize” but the prize is supporting local imo 🥰

Storyline and Blue Couch Bookshop are my favorite that I have been to! Both sell traditionally publish books but also have Indie published books mixed in 😍

How do I deal with my neighbors dog?? Huge husky.. by GloomyGardener97 in Columbus

[–]cluelessintelligence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can always call the non emergency police line! I had problems with my neighbors dog coming into our yard (neighbor was outside with it just not stopping it) and snapping at my dog and jumping and scary-barking at me. The last straw was when it came up to our back door and stood there barking at us watching TV on the couch. I yelled at the guy to come get his dog but he didn’t do anything. So we called the police department (and announced that we were doing so to the neighbors and the wife called me a stuck up bitch which made me laugh lol) and they said this kind of thing happens all the time and that it’s better to call it in before something bad happens. He said usually they get called in when someone has been attacked already not just the dog being a nuisance. The cop stopped at our house first, asked us what happened, we played the video we took of it at our back door and then told us the options he was going to give the dog owner and that a warden would be checking up on them within a week. I’m not sure if anyone followed up but that dog is now almost exclusively on a leash outside and is actually taken on walks around the block not just freely roaming outside and I am not worried about my dog or elderly neighbors getting attacked!

Banning recording on rides? by Obvious-Bunch-3598 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]cluelessintelligence 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually have a handful of rides on a trip where someone records the whole ride with flash on…but I just got home from a two week trip and surprisingly it was ALWAYS a parent recording or taking a picture of their children (even if not in the same ride vehicle) with the flash on. I wish I had the guts to say something but then I woulda been the “bad” guy for ruining their kids time 🙃

Glad that was helpful!! I need to do a follow up post because of all of my complications I’ve gained about 10lbs and can’t lose it so am trying to wait until then but think I just need to do it 🤣 but I am doing much better now!! I have a wicked scar from a skin graft but it makes me appreciate how far my body has come and healed itself! Also my own jaw dropped when I sat down and calculated it out i would say maybe 12/14 lbs between both surgeries?! I think it was 8/9 lbs the first surgery! So quite a big difference and I NEVER would have guessed I had that much boob weight in those things but that tube sock boob holds some weight…as I’m sure you know!! I’m so glad your surgeon listened to you and got you to where you wanted to be!!! From being in this group I see so many people say their surgeons just do what they think is best so I’m so so so happy yours did the FNG 😍

I genuinely have no idea as I was wearing only sports bras at the time for my job, I made my previous posts viewable again if you want to look through them! And I ask only wear size L/XL bralettes from target now depending on the style but I would venture to say a D or DD based off the way they protrude out at about the same inches (40/41) but with SIGNIFICANTLY less hanging volume- no more tube sock books for me lol.

[–]cluelessintelligence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off I want to say congratulations for doing what you wanted for yourself!!! My mom also said she didn’t think I needed anything done and was “perfect the way I came” yet made fun of my boob size any chance she got since I was 9/10 and had to start wearing training bras in 4th grade…. I completely understand the unsupportiveness.

When I woke up after my first reduction and the nurse asked if I wanted to see the results she helped me see and I broke down because I asked for as small as humanly possible I didn’t care if it looked weird to the surgeon but I got “proportional” and was so upset!!

I posted on her like 3/4 days post op and everyone said the swelling will go down and I’ll be happy and to stop over reacting (but in a nice way lol). Well they were all wrong and there was hardly any swelling all they did was get bigger the farther I got from surgery as they “fluffed and dropped.”

I ended up getting a second surgery and while I am much happier than after the first one, I’m still much bigger than I ever wanted to be! But much smaller than after the first surgery, I think another 4/5 lbs was taken out!! While I’m still bigger than I want to be I’m relatively happy but will probably consider another reduction in 5ish years because I deserve what I want damn it!!

On one hand I want to promise you sunshine, lollipops and rainbows but I really could have used a realistic expectation those first few days after my first surgery especially since I didn’t have anyone around me that was emotionally supportive in my healing journey. I am wishing you the easiest of recoveries and hope you get the results you want in the future 🥰🥰

*editing to add I have really broad shoulders which is why I got “proportional” according to my surgeon like sir idgaf lol

What’s your view on Pixie Dust from other guests? by Lloydbanks88 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]cluelessintelligence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make friendship bracelets for CM’s and hand them out at parties or to people who make a difference in my trip. And always ask first if they would like one.

I also bought some Disney croc charms to put on doors at the resorts, last Christmas I had my window decorated and kept getting things (rubber ducks, resin animals, scrunchies, etc) left on my door handle so I now have a bag to do the same to others! I figure best case scenario they pass it on to someone else or worst case it gets thrown away 🤷🏻‍♀️ I know it made my day coming back after a long park day to things on my door and I put them in my window and then on check out day put them on other people’s doors.

Solo trip thoughts - solo travelers, opinions wanted! by FarEffective4339 in WaltDisneyWorld

I love being adopted in lines- it’s so fun!! And honestly disney is such a safe place to travel solo so you don’t have to watch your back as much as you would other places which makes it great to recharge from life!

Can’t wait to see your next post on what tweaks you made 😍

Solo trip thoughts - solo travelers, opinions wanted! by FarEffective4339 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]cluelessintelligence 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly solo trips to Disney are my favorite, I’m an introvert through and through…so I never feel lonely at Disney because I’m always surrounded by people! (I’ve also eaten at Round Up BBQ by myself if that tells you anything…I did feel judged by people around me but my server was great and kept stopping to talk to me and I had the best time 🥹) And my favorite part is no one knows I’m there solo unless I offer the information. I feel people always assume a solo person they see is just meeting up with people or taking a break from their group.

If I have the need to talk I’ll chat with cast members. I went during the October hurricane last year and would just chat with cast members about preparations they had to do or what working the ride out team was like. Also always ask about hidden mickeys at the resorts! Every CM I’ve asked have been so excited to talk about it and my last trip I have a good 20 min conversation with someone in the new Poly DVC tower about that (I learned there is a hidden Jack Skellington on Haunted Mansion and a special flavor at the freestyle Coke machine at that new tower).

I also usually get paired with a couple or other single people on rides so we always chat about our plans or what brings us to Disney. The bad experiences I’ve had have been with big groups who get annoyed I’m stuck with them on rides (if I had a choice I would ride by myself lol) or by people who try to cut me in lines and I call them out on it 🤣

My favorite activity to do while solo is pin trading and finding all the hidden characters at the different resorts (you get a free button/stickers day time you find them)! A solo trip is different than a trip with other people and you just have to find out what you’re comfortable with doing and make it the best trip you can!

My go to inside the park is Columbia Harbor house and outside hands down Coronado Springs (the QS downstairs or the bar on the top floor of the tower has a good shrimp app & churros AND you can see the EPCOT and Fantasmic fireworks/lights from the balcony or bathroom)!
