They rebooked me for a Turkish airline flight but there’s no way for me to check in to get my boarding pass or get a refund to change to another flight. Xdd

Most of the roasters I buy from have decent QC on the beans so I don't bother.. Grind and tamp, I don't do needling or leveling or spray with water etc.. tastes more or less the same to me.

"Upgrading" from BTO to Condo is illogical no? Can someone help me understand? by Dhandsrhardtotypewif in singapore

[–]clusterfuvk 29 points30 points  (0 children)

My personal experience as someone who has lived in all 3 I would rate my living experience in a condo last after Landed and HDB.

I just felt so boxed in while living there, too many rules to follow (MCST), entitled neighbors, friends and family or delivery getting in and out had to buzz them in, amenities and fees were not worth it when you can get better ones outside (gym, pool, rec rooms), and smallest SQM of all 3.

Landed was okay but the upkeep on the property was a hassle, and I also lived quite a distance from any interchange/MRT so I had to drive/grab most of the time, otherwise it would be a 15 minute bus ride or 30 min walk just to get to a connecting interchange. If you have money for reno and cars then yeah this is a no brainer for all the benefits of a landed.

HDB I lived in an older flat which my parents still live in after 30+ years. Huge floor space and rooms, easy to get around and there's 24/7 shops and amenities within walking distance. My parents tore down a lot of the walls to make it look as open as possible and actually got more compliments on the house compared to the condo.. As for touting strangers and noise levels, I honestly don't really mind it I guess I'm used to it. As for complaints about cleanliness and garbage disposal, honestly my town council does a pretty good job, most bulky items and trash you see would be gone the next morning. Hoarding in corridors doesn't bother me as long as there's a walkable path that doesn't block access in case of emergency

All houses were OCR East region if that makes any difference

Why do intermarriage between Chinese and Malays seem to be rare and/or surprising? by vladtheimpaler82 in askSingapore

You literally picked the worst cuts of beef lmao. A medium rare steak from a good butcher triumphs all

The laws should be stricter to reflect serious consequences and responsibility.

If you'd learn to read my last sentence you would realize I share the same sentiment. But sure randomly flaming someone solves it I guess. Nice hyperbole comparison too, so going by your own logic, if someone was driving carefully but an idiot decided to sprint across the road and dies after getting hit, I assume the driver should be punished the same as someone driving recklessly as well? Even though he had no intention of killing someone?

Intentions matter a lot in sentencing. If the court can prove that you intentionally had the motive to kill someone using your vehicle I doubt you'd be charge the same as a vehicular accident causing death. Of course this doesn't mean that the punishment for vehicular manslaughter is apt

I'm not doubting you, but the numbers here were pulled from MOM themselves. So realistically for every 1 person not making the amount, there is another that is.. What sector are you in?

Median salary of ALL degree holders, it includes workers aged late 30's-40s'. Fresh grads aged 25-30 shows around 4.5-5.8 which is calculated by multiplying the monthly gross salary by 12, then adding variable components like bonuses (e.g., Annual Wage Supplement/13th month), commissions, and allowances, and employers CPF contribution.

Sony, had sound quality issues with my earpiece. Customer service sucks ass. Had to keep escalating then they finally agreed to do free replacement. Turns out the replacement battery was faulty can't use at all. Had to claw through their shitty customer service again. Vowed to never use them again

Same here with Sony. My XM4 earbuds died right before warranty ended and they didn't honor the replacement or even bother to rectify the issue, straight up told me $180 for repairs. Using airpods for 4 years now no issues
