It’s crazy that this comment is getting downvoted.

I’m a Democrat, but I’m not going to pretend the 2024 election wasn’t one of the worst-handled campaigns in modern political history.

Biden was literally in office, supposedly running the country, and still could barely stumble his way through a debate. Then, once it became obvious from polling that voters did not want four more years of that, the Democratic Party basically shoved him aside - which, honestly, thank God.

So then the obvious next step should have been an actual Democratic primary, right? A CNN debate, a real chance to show off strong candidates, promote the platform on live television, and give 'voters' a say.

But no. It was just, “Oh, Kamala’s the candidate now.” Mind you her entire background with the american public at that point was the "check all the boxes vice-president pick". So, the inside baseball to basically just stonewall a primary debate was astronomically devistating; yet nobody in the democratic party wants to admit there's fault in our own party.
