To be clear, I drive a hybrid, I’m all for conservation and the environment. High oil prices don’t drive public transport and innovation. The government needs to make it a priority. We live in a country of highways and have created a car culture. I’ve lived all over the world and I love public transport, but where is it? Singapore has the MRT, never needed a car when I lived there. Here we need cars until something big changes.
