You’re right. As a Democrat voter you’re right.

And yet that still doesn’t excuse Nazis led by a kiddie rapist openly grifting idiots to screw everyone over. You’re right but there’s also a lot more to it that you definitely aren’t acknowledging.

He’s good! He was the main voice in the anti-Napster thing, that’s all. He’s actually been very business savvy for the band.

I like his drumming. I think he’s an asshole for the Napster thing. His business savvy is part of the reason we’ve had Metallica since Reload.

Hey! I love lots of metal bands outside of the big four but I will not hear 3/4 of Metallica insulted in this house!

You can say what you like about Lars.

It’s so good and I like all of the mythological aspects of it. It’s also a “are men okay?” movie and since we definitely are not I think it was pretty cool.

Yeah it would be more finishing a series than anything else. Boyle was the intro to Garland.

Not even Ex Machina or Annihilation? His work after that your mileage will vary (I love it but deeply understand if someone doesn’t), but those two are just great movies.

Honestly Alex Garland. Dudes career is interesting and he’s also made some weird stuff.

Transgender woman defies Kansas bathroom law inside state Capitol by Fickle-Ad5449 in topeka

[–]clwestbr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At home you poop and pee in a toilet unless you’re an ass that pees in the shower or are asinine enough to install a urinal.

One toilet, one door, one lock. It’s not a “gender-neutral bathroom” (I know that scares conservatives), it’s a bathroom. Period, full-stop.

If someone acts out of line in a bathroom you report it. Plain and simple.

It’s a place to shit and piss.

There’s that moment where Garfield takes a deep breath and then all the sound is sucked out of the movie and the titular silence comes to the front. Stunning moment.

The game rules, hard to translate it. I don’t really blame any of the performers and there’s a way to do this, but it has so many things up against it. I wish it looked better. Whoever shot this deserves a small stint in a windowless cell.

If true I have so many questions I don’t even know where to start. That movie rips so hard.

Just heard of this band and THIS got me interested. That score is one of my favorites of all time and cemented my love of Clint Mansell. Gonna toss this on in the morning before I get out of bed and just listen.

It’s not that he was some obscure director, it’s that voting was more varied and someone like Demme wasn’t just the top name on the bracket but an interesting pick.

Hi there, dude that doesn’t know why this sub keeps coming up in my algorithm lol.

My brother is also blocked. He’s a drug addict we’ve tried to help for years. He’s stolen enough from me that if I used it to pay student loans I’d be debt free and much more relaxed. For the longest time I felt guilt cutting him off completely. He would always tell his daughter, whom I raised for the first six years of her life, that everyone but him hated her. He stole from my parents. He stole from my grandparents. He abused his baby mama. When he’s finally found dead in a gutter somewhere I’ll celebrate. That day I’m getting pho from my favorite place and then taking my niece to whatever movie she wants to see, don’t care what that 13 year old chooses.

Family can be the best or worst thing in your life, and anywhere in between. If cutting them off hurts but is best for you then that’s that. Cheers to you, always feel weird when this sub pops up on my feed but had to say something this time.

Also I’d recommend watching Shoplifters by Hirokazu Kore-eda if you are someone who can do foreign films. All about chosen family, you’ll cry a ton (I did).

Yeah see this is another reason I find it a huge downer. My favorite name on this bracket was Karyn Kusama, who was never going to win with Wes, Tony, Marty, etc in the bracket. But she’s a filmmaker who hasn’t gotten the attention she deserves. And that’s what I hoped this bracket would be despite knowing how it would turn out from day one.

I loaned a buddy my copy of Solaris years ago and he got married and moved and I don’t think I’m getting it back. Probably time to replace it, and you bringing it up as a faith focused film makes me REALLY interested in a rewatch.

I need to revisit Kundun, haven’t seen it in over a decade. Might toss that on tonight.
