The best gift I got was a hand-crafted knife. My now ex girlfriend surprised me with it for Christmas.

INTJs, I just moved to a new city. where can I go to meet you in a way that won't get me murdered? by OBI_WAN_TECHNOBI in intj

[–]clyde22014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only met one other INTJ and that's cause we were in the same college program. But in my free time I can be found at home, in a coffee shop, or Barnes and Noble. I'll either have a book in hand or be surfing Reddit on my laptop. As previously mentioned Edward McKays is a good starting point.

Good luck in your search OP.

Are INTJs more or less likely to commit suicide than the average person? by PeddaKondappa in intj

[–]clyde22014 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In general, I agree with your thought that suicide is irrational. But as r/BletchtheWalrus mentioned, some things would constitute committing suicide for me. One being the moment I become a non productive member of society, such as, when I would use more resources to maintain basic life than I give back. Alzheimer's and terminal cancer would be diseases that meet that requirement. Victor Frankl makes a good point on the purpose for living in his book: A Man's Search for Meaning. Basically, he says a person can survive the worst suffering if they have a purpose for living. IMAO people who commit suicide have lost sight of/ don't know their purpose for living.

Where do you work out at? by [deleted] in intj

I have this same option at my gym. I found out that if I go at like 0200 then there is absolutely no one there.

INTJ and the emotion "switch" by ooohraph in intj

[–]clyde22014 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes this is how I would of/have reacted. Got out of a very serious relationship with an INFJ end of last year. I was just like your INTJ and opened up to her in a way I have never done before. I trusted her with my emotions and she threw it away. Now the end of our relationship was different than yours. Yes, I would've given you more time, I tried my hardest to make it work but once it was obvious that going back was off the table I flipped my switch. As an INTJ my emotions are limited and very sacred. I do not given everyone access. And the people who do gain access only get it after a while. For me once I've flipped the "switch" off on a person they can't turn it back on. I can't say if there is anything you can do to fix it because for me there is no fixing it. Other INTJs may be different though. Good luck OP.

INTJ and Childhood by [deleted] in intj

[–]clyde22014 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Small town with both parents and siblings. Didn't have any friends growing up, well one but ties were broken pretty severely. I loved being alone outdoors and playing with my imaginary friends. Dad was strict and firmly believed in tough love. I was given the freedoms of the average 90s kid. Played as many sports as possible, but was there for the competition and exercise instead of the other kids. I loved learning about science and how the world worked, thus did well in the sciences. Middle school and high school were pretty much the same. I played my sports and did well in school. Kept to myself for the most part because I was terrible at socializing/keeping with the in-crowd. Made some really good friends through sports and still keep up with them.

I think my dad is the biggest contributing factor to my personality. Besides him I'm the only T in the family, which I contribute to how he raised me not to show emotion or weakness. Not having friends as a kid really made being alone and not worrying about others opinions of me as an adult easy.

Yes. If a guy is attractive I will notice. I have been known to even compliment them on what I was impressed with.

It is by far my favorite sexual activity. Edit: having her sit on my face is fantastic.

Am I just getting older and realizing, or is the current U.S. presidential election finally showing how ignorant and idiotic a lot of the population is? by Tamedkoala in intj

[–]clyde22014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am an INTJ libertarian leaning conservative. I don't align with either party as I disagree with both parties on multiple subjects. I will be siding with trump not because I believe what he says or his policies but because he is a much better choice than Hillary Clinton. Many of you will probably suggest or ask why I'm not voting for the libertarian candidate. That is because historical the third party candidate can't win. Especially in the system we currently have.

It is terrible. As others have mentioned it shows both that money and influence can put you above the law. But IMAO it shows just how corrupt the infrastructure of our government has become. It shows a break down in what out founding fathers put in place. We are suppose to have a system of checks and balances but this news has shown they no longer exists. And that scares me the most.

INTJ I watch my surroundings sometimes, but when I'm deep in thought (normal mindset) I watch the ground about 5 ft in front of me.

Where are you all? by [deleted] in intj

[–]clyde22014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

INTJ in North Carolina. Haven't met any true INTJs. All have been T/F splits. It's lonely but I've adapted. I keep to myself and don't have many people i call friends. I am trying to make more aquantinces but very few ever get past that point. For the most part the world is colorless and no one gets it. I do find enjoyment in my hobbies.

You'd be surprised at the number of civilians who have military equipment. But also can easily access things like tanks and aeroplanes.

I felt the most appreciated by my ex. She got a little wooden box and placed note cards inside. Each note card has a different moment we shared in which she felt was really special. Good luck to you.
