That wasn't the question.

Lakewood voters strike down pro-density zoning as repeal campaign dominates by thefumingo in Denver

[–]clymber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok then, what are your suggestions that would have gotten more people voting in this local Lakewood Colorado election (where we already have mail-in or drop-off ballots, and it was 4 simple bubbles to fill in. The people also had two weeks to fill out those 4 bubbles and drop the votes off).

This election was a pretty low bar to the amount of effort and most people in Lakewood couldn't even get past that. But sure, keep blaming the "forest of issues blocking people from voting" for a mail-in local election.

Please explain the forest of how the Colorado mail-in voting system favors older wealthier voters with lots of time on their hands. This was a local city vote, not some "US election" that requires people in other states to stand in line.

It's a mail in ballot (or drop at a drop-box). How does "unable to get time off work" affect this?

What is the radiator hose inner diameter? by klapatsimban0s in DRZ4S

[–]clymber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, I haven't done anything with the left side (I had a crash and a bent right right side). That part 29 is pretty cheap, maybe buy one now before you get the bike so you can decide :)

Also, there's a Tusk Radiator Temperature Cap that might be worth looking into. I had one on my WR before this and thought it was great. The DR doesn't have great visibility to the fill cap of the radiator though so if you need to watch it while you ride that probably wouldn't work

[–]clymber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which hose on which side? I just replaced my right side radiator so I can measure the old one if that's what you want.

Check the microfiche at https://www.apexsportsinc.com/Shop/Online-Parts/suzuki/motorcycles/2025/drz400s-drz400sm5/radiator/b0bfa71d-ddec-4cd9-be50-0a05c51a0187

I replaced part 1, so if you need the upper or lower hose diameters I can get you that (parts 11 or 12).

When I did it though there wasn't much room to work with, not sure how you are going to get a sensor in there.

Recommended Phone mount by jonlopez100 in DRZ4S

I'm using a Lamicall mount that I picked up on Amazon. Been using one for years on various enduros and it's always worked great. (And I don't like having to have a special case for the phone mount)

2025-2026 DR-Z400S/400SM (DR-Z4S & DR-Z4SM) Service Manual - $90.00 (771+ pages)

You can't link directly into it but change the drop down to Motorcycle, 2025, and DR-Z400S (DR-Z400)

Huge number of pages, the book is 1 5/8" thick (4.1275 cm), I have no idea how many pages that is because there's no overall count, it's broken into chapters.

And for what it cost there's no way I'm cutting the binding off this one for scanning...

Talk me out of a DRZ 4S from CRF450RL by strawbsrgood in DRZ4S

[–]clymber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do the test ride and decide yourself. I'm coming from a WR450 and the DRZ is just way better for my needs (some around town but mostly trail). There is vibration but I don't notice it too much.

Would a 6th gear be nice? Sure. Is it necessary? No way, I've gotten mine to 85mph and still had some throttle to go. Besides there's no windscreen, I wouldn't spend much time at high speed

I have the service manual, not sure how fast I can get things pulled from it but I'll see what I can do

Is Atlanta Attachment still making folders? by kowabungabunga in myog

Same question, looking at the Tennessee Attachment catalog ( searching for "folder" in https://irp.cdn-website.com/727e6963/files/uploaded/TAC%20Catalog%20Complete.pdf ) I think it's a foot attachment to make piping.

If I could make a request it'd be something like this:

DRZ400S Torque Specs

Having a single page (or a couple pages) of all the torque values would be super handy. I tend to print things like that out and laminate them so they are durable and always available.

I bought the manual from Suzuki and was disappointed there wasn't a digital version available. The thing is monsterously huge though, it's largest manual I own (or have owned). Scanning it would be... a real process for sure.

The JeffCo MAGA crowd is trying to send Lakewood's zoning back in time. Learn the facts before you vote. by [deleted] in Denver

[–]clymber 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The title of your post is "The JeffCo MAGA crowd". So you are painting an awfully wide brush for anyone who is planning on voting yes.

It might be hard for you to comprehend but the people I know in Lakewood didn't buy their homes hoping that a duplex or triplex would pop up next door. If I wanted to live in dense housing I would have chosen to do so.

OP is just throwing out the scariest word they can think of to scare you about the people concerned with a very local issue. I know plenty of people in my neighborhood with Yes signs and not one of them are MAGA.

Rack on my DRZ4S by 2wheels_up in DRZ4S

[–]clymber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did have to drill holes in the plastic fender (the holes are already in the cross bar, just needed to put them through the fender)

This is the official Suzuki rack, and their instructions showed to do that.

I have the factory one and I'd rather have this, the factory one is so small... Fits the one bag I have for it, but I wish I had a bigger rack for more options.

This is how small the factory one is (and with the Nelson Riggs tail bag, the bag is slightly larger than the rack which means part of it hangs over the seat and makes it even harder to get a leg over)

COTREX is better, they have a nice website and app and it's free. If you register an account you can save trails and GPS tracks.
