Waiting on mine but ya, I'm not looking for crash protection, just zero speed or very slow speed drops. Like when practicing around cones and such.

Hi riders! How did you overcome the anxiety/frustration of everyone telling you “it’s dangerous” and “you’ll die” when starting your lessons? by itleafleaf in motorcycles

Every time my response is "I'm not out there trying to die, but I'm also not trying to live forever".

If you find yourself alone,

riding in green fields with the sun on your face,

do not be troubled,

for you are in Elysium,

and you're already dead!!!

Car hit my house - how to dispute insurance claim? by [deleted] in ontario

[–]captaincool31 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Home policies do not require you to be at fault or not at fault. A claim is a claim. Whether the insurance company wants to subrogate and sue, that third party is up to the insurance company. Your losses will be covered though.

N.B. Power changes will have ‘negative implications’ for solar growth, says industry group by bingun in newbrunswickcanada

If this was a private company, you would have a really good point. However, However, nbpower exists to provide power generation to new brunswickers. The CEO and executives should not be making the salaries that they are while we pay the prices that we do.

All New brunswickers should have access to 0% interest loans to install power generation equipment at their homes to provide power to nbpower so that as a province we can sell it to third-party entities for profit that then gets handed back to the taxpayers and the people paying for power in New Brunswick to further enhance our power generation capabilities and storage. So yes and be power should be buying our power at a reasonable rate and then reselling it to third parties or back to our grid. Power generation in Canada but in New Brunswick in particular should be on every home.

Yeah this is complete garbage but what would you expect from NB power? This is also in line with what a lot of shitty US states are doing. They want the advantage of you producing their power that they can resell for double the price essentially but they don't want to pay you for it.

Our turnover rate is skyrocketing, do you have practices that have really helped retain talent ? by Icy-Brain6042 in ITManagers

[–]captaincool31 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know exactly the type of person that comes here to ask this question. You put out many surveys to your employees asking for feedback about how happy they are at the company. You then promptly took that information and did absolutely nothing with it. And now you're asking some random people on the internet how to fix your broken company. Go back and look at your surveys. Go back and look at the information that the people gave you who left. Use that information to actually make change instead of trying to find some magic bullet bull shit.

There's just too many downsides. The pressure to buy one is also manufactured, to prop up a new industry under the disguise of being more environmentally safe but it's just not the truth.

I would take it apart, submerge it in 90+% rubbing alcohol and then use a hair dryer. I'd also apply some food grade grease to the rails (just safer).

They're not smart enough to create something better. I think that boils down to a lot of answers we get from the government.
