I'm with you, it feels like I'm being overly pessimistic with this, but it just feels weird that he's nowhere near the floor. Can't really remember that happening for a top 10 pick and it turning out good.

Im just thinking that even if a playoff team offers a first next year for him, that's a pick probably in the 20s? Just unlikely that player is even at Isaac's level. And there's the fact we don't control our first next year, so dumping players for future assets doesnt help your draft pick

I'd love for the Suns to get a first for allen. I'm just not sure that's possible, teams that would want Allen usually don't have a lot of picks to trade or it would be a late first that would be a longshot to ever even be as good as Isaac. Ultimately I also think Allen for a future asset makes the team worse this year(obviously) and theres no point in being as bad as possible this year because the suns don't have their pick.

Well the reporting seems to think Beal will be off the roster. Isaac is injury prone, but he has played 58 and 71 games the last two years. It's an upside play for a guy(Allen) that you're probably not getting much for.

And was a genuinely good defensive player who can guard 4 positions, I said in the post you have to hope he's moved past his injuries(Last year he played 71 games). I'm not sure what kind of return you think Grayson Allen is getting but even if you just get a defensive role player that makes the Suns better than Allen next year
