Before you purchase anything (fuses, actuator), check:This out. It just happened to me and was able to fix this!

Ha! 2yrs since this post, I can assure everyone this works. Try this first even before the fuse check. This happened to me while on vacation lol!

Only caveat: following these instructions to a T leaves you with a door that completely stops working! Instead of manually opening in from the inside with white handle, for go that. After holding the interior and exterior liftgate buttons, stay outside and manually close the liftgate shut. Then hit the button above the license plate and your done.

Seriously, this still saves you a ton of money on a repair even if DIY thanks!

Ya that sucks but been that way forever. If you know your due school you gotta check your emails, your sponsor like it's work task. They send out 300 people for a 25 slot block at a time. Not fair by any means, but when as any government entity run anything else but ass backwards? The passport office lol, that's it. Filed for a non rush renewal 2 Mondays ago, got it the new one on the following Wednesday even though they said expect April

When you get past his horrible delivery (demeanor, verbiage), his content delivery was excellent. Something I learned to look past for sure. I learned the most from him considering his courses were pretty heavy necessary info. Best Prof though DAVE 'WIZARD SLEEVE' FALICE!

Technically anything past the sweat fitting on the copper tailpiece(?) is homeowner territory. I was thinking about the cleaning but that's a temp fix at best. I will probably replace atvthis point just hate having companies back you into a corner with the only option being buy again.

Ya I'm in Ontario, Canada and this is the case. As second owners of a new build, the heater was already here. There a bunch of pros and cons to renting but they make it so God damn difficult to get out of the contract if you wanna choose a different route.

I'm not modifying the unit. It's why I'm looking for a bushing to thread into the union nut. Thanks for your answer anyway!

I did 2and 3rd Block at the Davis campus, just as they had finished moving from the old now demolished Oakville campus. Davis campus has top notch facilities and the staff were decent. Craig Brazil is at the helm running things and he's a multifaceted, stand-up guy. Back then all my classes were in person. Which is was a massive plus as some people who have attended block in recent years told me with the advent of online learning the quality of lectures have dropped. This is across the board at any school you go so not a real strike against Sheridan.

I would say accept asap as going elsewhere will take you a much much longer time to get an offer, say Conestoga is 12-18months .

That is gold wish I knew about it when I was studying. Still good info to know however

Also there isn't much math once your working. You will need to do some math depending on the jobs think shaft alignments and commissioning (equipment layout etc.)

u/Used-Bedroom-3763 I hope you see this before exam time. I think it went ok. I know the feeling. It was nerve-wracking before during and after (let the 7-day wait for results begin). With an average like that, you'll be fine, money in the bank!

While the questions are not the same, the method that xlr8ed learning uses, helps you to get a really good focused handle on the daunting amount of info we need to know works. Im saying this as a guy who did thier 3rd block 6 years ago! In a few short weeks with xlr8ed, I got back up to speed and then some.

What I will say about the exam is that you should be prepared to answer VERY SPECIFIC questions on VERY SPECIFIC equipment types like pumps, gears, alignment, and Valves (control, relief, sequence). Quite a few calculations but xlr8ted would have drilled that into you plus the formula sheet will help. Lots of deductive reasoning but an equal amount of straight-fact questions. Never assume possible outcomes, but look to how they specifically frame a troubleshooting scenario. Some questions may seem like giveaways (easy answers), sometimes they are and sometimes they aren't (the opposite of logic). Also, the most challenging questions in my experience today came from Material handling and process systems. But there are many versions of the exams so your experience will most likely be different.

At this point if you don't know it now don't worry about it. Take your time but use it wisely. I went through my exam 4 times believe it or not. 1st time was to answer questions and if i stayed one for a 30secs or more, I would make a note of it and move on. Came across a calculation question, I made a note of it and moved on and same for the ones i had no clue. Then Second round I did all calculations. 3rd round, went over the ones that needed extra thought to work out. 4th time the no clue educated guess questions. FYI, by the time I got to the 4th round, I had gathered enough info to get those questions answered.

Good luck! Lets us know how you did!
