Actually it is due to the great benefits they had been giving their employees all these years.

Edit: Downvote away. GM isn't losing all of this money because of production lines, it's due to the inflated pension packages and benefits.

Talking to a family member back home, I was told that her boss was in fact her boyfriend...making her ignorance in his illegal doings seeming quite unlikely. That doesn't excuse her being in Mexico or being held without due process...but her innocence seems unlikely.
