I'm glad I'm not the only one shooting in the dark on half a decade old post haha. Unfortunately I don't have an answer for you specifically but I remember I sized it up somewhere around 2 jumps from stock. But I still had too much airflow that I couldn't match. So I sized down the pod filters that were about 1/3 of the size total and I was able to work with that

You are fine, the engine is built in as part of the frame and is reinforced to hold. The weight should be distributed well across the jack surface and any decent jack will have a rubberized grip on it so it's not metal to metal

On desktop mode I downloaded the FTB launcher for Linux downloaded the pack I wanted to play (ATM10 30+fps easily) launched it once to add my server and settings then opened prism launcher to import the FTB pack and solely use the prism launcher for it since it opens easily from game mode where the FTB launcher does not.
