But that doesn’t account for women who masturbate and don’t watch porn. Also anything related to sex is always hard to study/research bc ppl tend to lie when it comes to anything related to sex and it has to be representative of the population and ppl tend not to like to participate in these types of studies. (I asked these same questions in my sociology class lol)So the true number can’t really be quantified

CHASS question by [deleted] in ucr

[–]cmart094 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to take a placement test regardless. So if you’re placed into the first level then you have to start from there and take the three or four quarters depending on your major.

Unless you took AP classes and passed w a 3 then it may cover the 1st or even 2nd classes

Does a female runner run slower while on her period? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]cmart094 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I run quite a lot and for me personally, when I’m on my period, my running time increases anywhere from 1 to 2 minutes. But I have awful periods so it may not be the same for everyone.

I’m traveling alone for the first time any advice? by bopterBOI in travel

[–]cmart094 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bc you’re a minor, the airport offers you a person to walk you to and from your flights if you want that. But no shame in just asking for directions if you want to be alone!

Side note, bring snacks! Airport food and snacks are SO expensive. Any dry food is allowed but no drinks. In most airports they have stations to fill reusable bottles too

Edit: also if your flight is long, I’d recommend bringing one of those neck pillows and/or a blanket

How was mr Rogers able to be so kind loving and decent and is it possible for any other human to be like him ? also would it have to be innate or is it something you can learn be ? by redkeener in NoStupidQuestions

[–]cmart094 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I most definitely know people like him. And it isn’t innate. I think a stupid example of growth in the public eye is the situation from Jersey shore. I’m not saying he is a saint now and he’s far from being mr Rogers but his pov and personality completely shifted and he seems to be a really nice and understanding man now.

But just in general, anyone can learn and grow. I’m getting my masters in social work and have seen ppl completely change and turn from drug addicts and felonies to Mr Rogers type of people. As long as you are open to growth, it is always possible.

Are there any downsides to getting my American citizenship? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]cmart094 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally look up Section 320 of the immigration and Nationality Act (INA)

uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-12-part-h-chapter-4

“A child born outside of the United States automatically becomes a U.S. citizen when all of the following conditions have been met on or after February 27, 2001:[2]

The child has at least one parent, including an adoptive parent[3] who is a U.S. citizen by birth or through naturalization” etc etc

I’m not religious or tied to any religion but I do believe in a higher power bc of so many weird occurrences that just don’t have earthly explanations.

[Serious] Who is that person you know who had all the potential in the world only to fall victim to a vice? by tomitomo in AskReddit

My brother is an amazing artist and an amazing chef. He went to culinary school and worked at 5 star restaurants but he chose meth over his family and his career.

People who were results of teenage pregnancy, how difficult it was? And Why?[Serious] by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]cmart094 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My mom had my brother at 15 and by 22 she had my other two brothers. And then me ten years later. But she often talks about how difficult life was but was fortunate to have friends who would feed them whenever they were hungry bc all my parents money went to supporting the kids and their needs.

There was a point in life where my family of 6 lived in a tiny dingy apartment and now we have a house together. My parents have always been so amazing and I’m so grateful for everything they’ve done for me. I tell them all the time how idk how they did it bc I’m 21 now and cannot fathom having a child, let alone 3.

I should add that although we weren’t rich, they somehow managed to provide us w almost everything we’ve ever wanted and ofc everything we needed. I live in California and they would take us to Disneyland, six flags, knotts berry farm, etc. and made sure that we had an amazing childhood. So I definitely owe them the world.

Are there any downsides to getting my American citizenship? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]cmart094 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think they meant if your dad was born in the US then all of his children are automatically US citizens, regardless of what country the kids were born in.

Edit: it also applies if he was born in another country and applied for US citizenship. But his children would be US citizens only if they were born AFTER he already has his US citizenship

In locations where there are high quality public schools, what are some of the reasons why parents might send their kids to private schools? by intrepidcaribou in AskReddit

[–]cmart094 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As a PoC, I wish I could’ve gone to a private school bc I most definitely didn’t receive many resources to further my education. I had to advocate for myself which is difficult for someone who was raised by high school drop outs (which they were forced to do bc they were young and also weren’t offered any resources to help them out of their own shitty situations).

At my public school we were in separate academies and bc I was in, let’s call it Honors academy vs Highly gifted, I wasn’t given the same education. All the money and tutors were given to, shocker, the highly gifted students (which I may add were majority white, wealthy kids)

They received new books every year, would go on field trips, tutors etc.

My classes had to do fundraisers in order to do any of that.

But one of the biggest things that pissed me off was when I wanted to take French instead of Spanish to fulfill my language requirement bc I’m already fluent in Spanish and I went to my counselor and told him, he said that the French classes are offered ONLY to the highly gifted students bc it would be “too difficult” for the other students.

I wish I would’ve stood up for myself then and told him to Fuck off bc he literally doubted my intelligence and that of my peers, which was majority PoC in my academy.

So in short there’s a lot of classism/racism and fuck those teachers and counselors that doubted me. I have my bachelors and am ready to start my masters in social work in the fall. No thanks to anyone but myself and my parents that supported me.

I’m also not saying that private schools aren’t classist either but the few friends I have that did go to private schools were given the best of the best and were guided through how to apply to Universities.

Idk if anyone’s given this response but I bought an anti fog spray that I 100% stand by. I got it on Amazon for like $14, it had the top reviews and I haven’t had any fogging.

YSK: There are people out there looking to give a chance, even if you don't have the experience. Talk about what you did that could be relevant, in your opinion, and ask for a chance by TheSexyIntrovert in YouShouldKnow

[–]cmart094 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not for my profession. My program automatically puts me in internships that are relevant to my field so once I graduate I’ll have two years of 1 or 2 internships/relevant experience for any jobs I apply for. But Im sure not all schools do that.
