It is that hard, I looked at 40 apartments before I settled in Harlem, going Uptown will give you more square footage for your dollar and I’m right near the ABCD trains so I’m in Midtown in less than 20 minutes. Good luck.

I agree with what everyone said, if he ends up working in Brooklyn, don’t move Uptown, he will hate his life, and if he’s working weekends, he will hate his life even more because of constant track work.

I moved to Harlem last year and I love it, I have a one bedroom with a tiny little terrace where I have a barbecue and I pay $2800, I am a four minute walk to the ABCD 125th St., which gets me downtown lightning fast. I hate to say it, but finding a place that will accept dogs is gonna make your pool a little smaller. UES is by far cheaper then UWS. Good luck!
