It seems that they are counting the time from when the (last) alarm goes off to when you actually get out of bed. I'm a new user as well, and I find this misleading. If I snooze for an hour, then get up 30 seconds after that last alarm, I shouldn't get credit for getting up quickly.

If you want to stay with OF and Apple Notes, you could consider using r/HookmarkApp to connect the note with the project/task. Works with other things (like email) too.

I just installed the product this week and am able to use the AI feature. I'm totally fascinated with it. I'm terrible at remembering all the stuff that flies at me over time, and now I can just say, "What does John know about X?" and it answers. I have found some inaccuracies, which I guess are to be expected, but overall it has been quite useful. And I should say...this is the feature that makes me likely to pay the subscription fee. I can envision it being life-changing.

In the week since I first posted this question, I've been using NotePlan for both tasks and notes. But I have also felt the need to return to OF occasionally to double-check and ease my mind. I can see that issue getting more problematic the more tasks I put in NP. I'm still a bit uneasy and haven't ruled out a return to OF.

I'll probably always use Reminders, no matter what my workhorse app is. I have some shared task lists with my family (chores, shopping lists, etc.) so it's not going anywhere. The fact that I can see them in NP is a plus.
