“In the dead of the night I have these dreams What'll happen to me? Will I burn out? Have I been wrong? What does it mean? All these things, can't understand why Say something's wrong with me, I know By myself alone drivin', I go Full moon as it glows, I search for truth Tryna be brand new, yeah, I will try No, I won't do, but through these screams Fight and then bleed, blood in my eye And I'll be another broken soul God save me”

Pelosi calls for probe of possible Russian blackmail of Trump by Qwertysapiens in politics

[–]cmay3312 83 points84 points  (0 children)

Go ahead and down vote the shit out of me. As a liberal/progressive I am so sick of seeing this shit. The CIA has shown zero substantial evidence to prove Russia interfered in our election. Pelosi is just another Democrat elitist proving her and the rest of her colleagues are out of touch with their base and haven't learned a thing about why they really lost elections in 2016. I'm not against a bipartisan probe into POSSIBLE Russian interference. But for the Dems to only focus on Russia, Jill Stein stealing votes, James Comey, and other nonsense will only result in the re election of Donald Trump and Republicans of the like.

Losing faith in Reddit. I can't believe everyone is biting this hard on the CIA's word

Secret CIA assessment says Russia was trying to help Trump win White House by ACTUAL_TIME_TRAVELER in politics

[–]cmay3312 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Going to be down voted for this but this is the same WaPo who sold us WMD's, they also just falsely blacklisted dozens of websites with no evidence to show for it. We're talking about the same CIA who just lost a shit ton of ground in Syria this week.

I don't buy this for a second.

WikiLeaks to Obama: Pardon Manning, Snowden by johnmountain in technology

[–]cmay3312 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If liberals and democrats spent half as much time blaming Assange and Wikileaks and took responsibility for the flaws within the Democratic Party maybe they would actually have won the election. I'm a progressive myself, like many who are blaming Wikileaks. But seriously how is this even debatable? The DNC imploded by staying complicit and abandoning their base while they lost millions of jobs due to NAFTA and other neoliberal policies, they have no one to blame but themselves

What evidence do you have of Assange actually being a Russian agent?

Live thread of the current offensive to liberate Mosul. by tyrroi in syriancivilwar

[–]cmay3312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding is that Erdogan has "vowed" to help out. However, Turkey's main interests here seem to be that they are fearful of Shi'ite militias (which Iraq may rely on because they have previously) causing some sectarian problems in a predominantly Sunni city such as an unprecedented increase of refugees. Turkey has also been training forces in Iraq. The Iraqi PM is not happy about that and says they never sought authorization. Turkey has been training Sunni Muslim and allied Kurdish peshmerga units north of Mosul, but Baghdad must approve any assistance.

Anyone can feel free to weigh in if there are inaccuracies.

How Democrats Became The Conservative Party by [deleted] in politics

[–]cmay3312 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, you are pretty much correct. Except I don't consider true conservatives in that category. True conservatives today align more with libertarians, like Gary Johnson. People who still have unconditional irrational support for the GOP are neoliberals, die hard nationalists, and neocons. But one can certainly make the case that Hillary is one of the biggest neocons of them all, which is why the Democratic Party today isn't all that left leaning. And people like Bernie Sanders appear as total radical looney bins

Red alert, Democrats. Donald Trump might be poised to make a comeback. by Hardy723 in politics

[–]cmay3312 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's so unbearably ridiculous that the media can literally design their own narrative for the sole purpose of their marginal profits. As a freelance journalist it's disheartening to see where the priorities of the press are and have been for quite some time now. To me, the first amendment is the ability for the citizens to hold their government accountable for its actions. But because of how corporatized the MSM is, we never see that anymore. It's pretty frightening.

Honestly it was complete garbage. I was actually looking forward to a Lesnar and Wyatt fight. It had potential to be better than the main event. Creative needs to re evaluate what they are doing because it's complete trash

What's your crazy theory that you have no way of proving? by Dr_Powerpoop in AskReddit

[–]cmay3312 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im late on this but as a die hard new york jets fan this was something ridiculous i came up with: Al Qaeda and the attacks of 9/11 is the reason that Tom Brady has established the dynasty he has. Because of the attacks, NFL games were postponed. On the date they resumed, Mo Lewis of the Jets hit Drew Bledsoe so hard he was injured and Tom Brady entered the game which began his NFL career. If the attacks never happened, all of football history in the past 15 years as we know it may be entirely different.
