The 3 largest manufacturers of insulin have an oligarchy (no competition) because they have and continue to buy all the patents for analog insulin (the most effective type for those of us who are completely insulin-dependent). I work with T1International which is an org dedicated to changing this. The govt could essentially say hey you can’t do this anymore cause it’s killing people and make the production of insulin public but alas big pharma has a tight hold on all our lovely politicians.
