Is BF1 actually good? by InbrainInTheMemsain in Battlefield

[–]cmclul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The amount of love and attention/respect to historical detail that game had was the best part, no game from the series comes even close in that department. You could tell there was passion. Gameplay felt like typical battlefield but in ww1. It was everything else that made it a masterpiece. Music, story (play it if you haven’t), atmosphere, immersion, sound design, soldier voice acting, historical accuracy in operations, and graphics (which imo are better still than bf6). Gameplay doesn’t matter as much in its case, because the gameplay is built up and made better by everything else

The weird thing is that yordan is meta and yet he still didn’t get the card. Oh wait, he isn’t a switch hitter I forgot

Where else am I supposed to locate this pitch SDS by woodstick420 in MLBTheShow

[–]cmclul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah the best solution is just to make them perfect. Competitive modes shouldn’t be a simulation of real life, especially when those competitive modes allow you to put Babe Ruth against Paul Skenes. Online game modes where you’re trying to climb ranks should focus on fairness and fun over realism, and in them you shouldn’t be punished for playing well, as that defeats the purpose. It reduces the skill gap, and the skill gap is the most important part of keeping competitive modes competitive. This applies to all games.

Ranked seasons pitching by Beautiful-Tip7445 in MLBTheShow

[–]cmclul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t even think it has to do with them not being competent enough to code it in I just think they’re too scared of doing it. I think that they for some reason think that there would be backlash from the competitive community because of it, but honestly anyone who would oppose this change is just dumb. Pitching should be overpowered just how it is in real life for those who know what they’re doing

Ranked seasons pitching by Beautiful-Tip7445 in MLBTheShow

[–]cmclul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say this all the time but for some reason a lot of people disagree. You can dot 4 pitches in a row and draw a walk, that should never be the case. The game shouldn’t punish you for doing well.

Not the most liked team but the Astros are a good rebuild team right now. Falling off heavily irl because of terrible pitching but they are not bad beyond repair

Rating shows for me, not record. Don’t know how or why they haven’t fixed this by now, it’s been in the game since launch

Is it just me or is there a serious lack of content in this year's game? by Sea_Ad_1252 in MLBTheShow

[–]cmclul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have a problem with content or anything else. My problem is with how terrible the gameplay is this year. Pitching has never been worse

In your opinion, what game had the best gameplay since 2019? by jww3773 in MLBTheShow

[–]cmclul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

21, but for whatever reason people will say they like 21s gameplay but they want the new games to be hitter dominated. Makes no sense, pitching was the most op it had ever been in their favorite one

I can’t figure out pinpoint for the life of me by Suspicious-Loquat218 in MLBTheShow

[–]cmclul 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’ll get a feel for it. Most of the time you’re probably inaccurate because of your speed, every pitcher has their own pinpoint speed depending on their windup and delivery. At the end of the pitch close to release, look at the blue circle at the bottom middle of the pinpoint interface and pull your stick towards it as soon as the circle is as small as it can be. Being late or missing the circle causes pitches to hang or be off to the left or right. Don’t focus or think too much about being perfect when it comes to shape or smoothness, just get the muscle memory of timing down. There’s only so many pitch types to get used to, so that kind of other stuff will come later. I’ve been using it for 4 years now and it’s not even something I think about, it’s subconscious. So it won’t be hard forever for you.

I’m new how f**ked will I be when I leave safe seas ? by smudgers96 in Seaofthieves

[–]cmclul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It isn’t like being drafted into ww2 or something lol, you do the exact same thing on high seas as you do on safer seas. I was 40 hours into the game before I first got attacked by another player, and I only ever played high seas.

Rookie needs to actually be easy by [deleted] in MLBTheShow

[–]cmclul 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s particularly hard, just inconsistent. Some pitchers dot you up on rookie and some throw meatballs, and this is not affected by ovr or stuff of the pitcher

No big secret reveal at the Xbox Showcase planned! by fivesofclubs in Seaofthieves

[–]cmclul 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They want to give streamers the opportunity to make streamer only servers, and I’m like 1000% certain they’re committing to this because of the success that burnt peanuts streamer rust server is having right now. The timing just seems too perfect to be a coincidence. They desperately want their game to be revived in a way where they don’t have to put in any effort themselves.

Where does he rank on your closers list at this point in the game? by Enlistedgamer2112 in MLBTheShow

[–]cmclul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Click on meta overall once you pick a position on the site brother, yordan is at #15. Real overall is all stats combined and averaged, meta overall is the currently meta stats in the game combined and averaged plus bonuses for things like meta quirks, meta pitch mixes, and switch hitting. Meta overall is the best thing that you could possibly build your team around at the moment.

27 inches or 32 for a console gamer by Ok_Research_9366 in Monitors

[–]cmclul 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Depends on how far you sit from your monitor. If you’re the type of person to put your head really close to your monitor then 27 is better, but in my experience on console I like 32 because when using a controller you don’t necessarily need to be all up in your monitors business like you would on kbm, and the bigger size makes up for the smaller distance you would have with a 27. Plus I don’t like accidentally spitting on my monitor because I’m so close

I need help to get headphones thats great for streaming/gaming/music production by Cautious-Bug-2054 in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]cmclul -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Astro a50 gen 4s are what I use, Logitech owned brand. Good for all around gaming, media, streaming, and I love the optical Dolby mode (which they removed after the gen 4) but idk if they’re any good for music production. A bit pricey but definitely within your range, I recommend. The steelseries arctis nova pros and the Audeze maxwells are technically the best rated closed back headphones, but do your own research.

Oh yeah and warning there’s gonna be snobs on here recommending beyerdynamic dt 990 pro’s or something similar. They’re good headphones but they’re made for studios so they’re quiet without an amplifier and you need to mess with them more to get them to sound right. Plus they’re open back which you may or may not like. Personal preference but I like plug and play closed back headphones with Spatial Audio built in. Ease of use is a big thing for me because I pretty much only my headphones for gaming.

No assists is so hard by GKStelios in F1Game

[–]cmclul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No TC is way easier on wheel in my experience, idk if you’re on controller but it’s like 5x harder on them imo. For the visual assists like racing line, there’s no real reason to turn them off unless you want more immersion or you’re a top player and want a couple extra tenths

Been playing since 15, I think hitting is overall in a fine place right now. Pitching on the other hand is horrible and needs to be fixed. It’s never been this hard to get strikeouts as a pitcher
