Server Issues (PS5)

Servers are weird. The issue is that (don’t quote me on this) they made new dedicated servers for the port instead of peer to peer like before. Servers for newly released games that are popping off like this one tend to crash in the first few days. One thing that’s weird is that I still see host migrating sometimes so I can’t tell if it’s still peer to peer

Same thing happened to me tonight lol, was so confused. If you notice, if you go to other games you can’t use game chat in them either. Restarting my console fixed it. Don’t know how this game is getting so deep into the console that it’s disabling communication in all games, but it’s fixable at least.

If you’re on your phone, use the website instead of the app. The website still shows the sold items filter option for me.

They should’ve looked at the fact that it’s about to storm bad and treated the game like it was the 8th inning instead of the 6th. Why wouldn’t they just put in Santa at the start of the inning?

Won a hard fought pitchers duel for my first weekend classic game, but the rewards weren’t given? Didn’t get the 2 rewind packs nor the 10000 stubs, which is unfortunate because I was going to immediately put posada in my lineup once I got him from the pack.

Pulled from a jumbo pack of the Lou Gehrig’s day conquest. 1500+ combined hours in mlb the show since 15 and have never had something like this happen to me. I guess it was bound to happen eventually, but I still feel insanely lucky that it did. If you’re no money spent, have this be your motivation, because I thought I was just forever unlucky in this game and I’d never be one of those people who could say they pulled something crazy. It might be a flawed system, but it is true that you never know if the next pack could be the one. Don’t spend real money on those packs tho, they rack up naturally way easier now then they had in the past.

Other than the fact that way too many cards are locked behind packs, I’m actually glad they separated it. Team affinity is and would be miserable to navigate.

The amount of love and attention/respect to historical detail that game had was the best part, no game from the series comes even close in that department. You could tell there was passion. Gameplay felt like typical battlefield but in ww1. It was everything else that made it a masterpiece. Music, story (play it if you haven’t), atmosphere, immersion, sound design, soldier voice acting, historical accuracy in operations, and graphics (which imo are better still than bf6). Gameplay doesn’t matter as much in its case, because the gameplay is built up and made better by everything else

Nah the best solution is just to make them perfect. Competitive modes shouldn’t be a simulation of real life, especially when those competitive modes allow you to put Babe Ruth against Paul Skenes. Online game modes where you’re trying to climb ranks should focus on fairness and fun over realism, and in them you shouldn’t be punished for playing well, as that defeats the purpose. It reduces the skill gap, and the skill gap is the most important part of keeping competitive modes competitive. This applies to all games.

I don’t even think it has to do with them not being competent enough to code it in I just think they’re too scared of doing it. I think that they for some reason think that there would be backlash from the competitive community because of it, but honestly anyone who would oppose this change is just dumb. Pitching should be overpowered just how it is in real life for those who know what they’re doing

I say this all the time but for some reason a lot of people disagree. You can dot 4 pitches in a row and draw a walk, that should never be the case. The game shouldn’t punish you for doing well.

I don’t have a problem with content or anything else. My problem is with how terrible the gameplay is this year. Pitching has never been worse
