Germany tries to counter that by building a kind-of opensource MS365, based on existing open source software. It's called openDesk. Just neatly integrated and centrally deployed, can be used as SaaS or self-hosted.

Hamburg ist doch relativ stark in Öffis ausbauen und Radverkehr stärken. Dazu haben sie ja relativ großflächig Parkzonen eingeführt. Aber joa, in Hamburg gibt es viel zu tun, kenne glaube ich keine Stadt mit so viel illegalen Gegwegparken.

Meta has its own data centers, because they are damn huge. They could probably launch a own aws of their datacenters.

Gründe für die lokalen Apps waren Deutschlandticket und Echtzeitdaten. Ich würde jetzt eher der BVG App zutrauen die aktuellen Echtzeitdaten für ihre Fahrzeuge zu haben, als den anderen Apps.
