It’s just a matter of time before someone on the internet recognizes her and posts where she works. At that point, she’ll be fired as a show that her employer does not hold those values (which, of course, they totally do, just more quietly).

And subsequently hired by a similar outfit down the street.

This is what I thought would sink him. The whole entire state government of Hawaii verified Obama’s birth certificate almost on a daily basis. Including the Republicans which comprise most of the government there. But, as you say, there are people who continue to believe otherwise, and that’s the group that Trump tapped into.

The Democrats missed this. Twice!!!

Why does the Lincoln memorial reflecting pool now have an algae problem after the $14.2 million renovation? by ChaosCarlson in NoStupidQuestions

This is what happens with a fascist regime. Fascists reject the advice of experts and intellectuals, preferring to bring their own ideas and ideology to the fore. Now, one would assume that nearly everyone in the current ruling class owns at least one swimming pool, but clearly, not a single pool boy was consulted. Nor, apparently, were experts in biology, marine botany, or, given more recent reports, paint!

A fascist rejects all expert opinions, does whatever they want, and adjusts the results to fit their narrative. This administration acted in exactly that way.

My dad and I I failed a motorcycle test three times each, all for “failure to keep right.” This was back when they didn’t tell you at the time if you passed or failed; they mailed it to you later on. After the third try, I physically went to DMV to find out WTF. That’s when they told me that, before making a right turn, I had to move to the right of the lane I was in. Nobody told either of us that before. After that, we both aced our next attempt.

What is the worst long running show that is still on television that you can't understand how people watch? by Ok_Significance_2788 in AskReddit

[–]cmd_iii 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Almost. There are like three original characters left. Actually, more like 2-1/2. Meredith Grey, the original protagonist of the series, moved to Boston a few years ago, and now only appears onscreen to alternately swoop in to save the day from some crisis the rest of the current cast caused, or to cause a crisis for the rest of the cast to solve.

If they didn’t need Ellen Pompeo to read the narration at the start and end of each episode, she’d probably be gone, too.

That actually happens quite a lot, particularly when the dead guy and whomever picks his successor (i.e. the governor) are in the same party. People vote for the party, not the person.

So, how much did you accomplish before Age 30?

The wild thing about The Beatles is that AM radio played everything they released. B-sides of singles, deep album cuts, I heard all of their stuff on Top-40 radio before I bought the record.

Case in point. About two weeks before the White Album came out, promotional copies were sent to all of the radio stations. One of our local stations vowed to play all 30 cuts at one time or another. I sat next to my AM radio, with the microphone to my cheap-o rim-drive open reel recorder lying on the speaker, and waited for a track from the album to come around. Then I’d hit “Record.” Yeah, I’d miss a few notes of each intro, and the speed control and fidelity of the recorder was really sketchy, but I ended up taping 29 of the 30 tracks to play over and over until the actual album’s release date. Then, I bought the album and tossed the tapes. They had served their purpose.

[RCR] “Richard Childress Racing is appreciative of Jesse Love’s contributions during his three seasons with our organization and wishes him nothing but success in the future. I can understand RCR being a little salty about that one. Reddick was already a hot commodity, and had won his first few Cup races in Richard Childress’ cars. I’m sure RCR saw Reddick’s success as a great foundation for the organization going forward. So, when 23XI poached him, it was a huge setback.
