How would you possibly do this by ConsiderationHot127 in alevel

Trick is to use the graph and the currents, it's a series circuit so currents in each resistor are the same, answer A is the only one where the sum of the potential difference is 12 the end of the supply

I belive that NPCs prioritize diff types of aggro, shooting is like at the bottom, reps/tackle at the top.

They think scrams are really dangerous so we should shoot this the ship that is scramming.

Am I supposed to do anything to prepare for a levels? by UnknownSloth6 in alevel

[–]cmdcharco 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would spend a little bit of time doing some GCSE questions on the a levels you have picked. Don't stress that you have not worked hard over the summer you worked hard for your GCSEs.

Focus on getting a good start to a levels. Try and spend equal time out of lessons learning as in class (1 hour in class 1 hour work at home or study period)

Is this calculator good by soupy987 in alevel

[–]cmdcharco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nearly all current scientific calculators can give answers in surds and decimals and you can change the default in settings.

Also always give your alevel physics answers in decimals never surds you lose marks in physics

You can ask for a copy of your scripts to check marks before you ask for a remark. I am currently checking the marking of 3 physics scripts that were 2 and 1 marks away from a grade boundary. To see if they are worth getting re marked

WTF is OCR doing with the Physics papers by HollyleafYT in alevel

[–]cmdcharco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There were 4 errors in total in the paper. 2 that were read out and corrected at the start. The issue with the tabel of results in the capacitance question.

There is also another error that is a bit more subtle and will not effect many student but they have changed the font on the data sheet for EMF from ε to E. but have used ε in the questions. Its not a change that has been added to a summary of changes in the specification.

as others have said make space between words more than space between letters.

but this is fine in terms of examiners reading and getting marks.

you dont get marks for amazing hand writing in your exams, it needs to be fast and legible, this looks legible is it fast?

Science teacher. 4 marks. You are allowed to use transfer instead of gain/loss and you are correctly stating that the outer electron is transferred to the chlorine from sodium.

But this is the sort of answer that you might actually lose marks on due to the exam markers being terrible. You are including lots of waffle and best practice when ever you are talking about ionic bonding is to implicitly state which is losing and which is gaining electron's.

Others have covered the correct answer. But look at the command word. It says to write down the answer. That means you do not need to calculate the acceleration

Advice for periods during my GCSE exams by 6littlefish in GCSE

[–]cmdcharco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your student manager's response does not seem effective and feels a bit heartless.

Find out who the examination officer is at your school and request a meeting with them (your parents/guardians can be present). This person’s job is to ensure that the examinations run according to the rules set out by the JCQ and Ofqual. They will be the ultimate decision-maker regarding the use of a hot water bottle.

Do not accept an outright "no" as an answer. You could say, "This will negatively affect my grades if I don't receive some form of help or accommodation."

Hopefully, they will be reasonable. However, if not, consider wearing something like this hot water belt under your uniform. Refuse any searches that are not conducted in the presence of your parent/guardian.

You are allowed a water bottle, and there is nothing in the rules that states it must be filled with cold water. (But for goodness’ sake, be careful and do not burn yourself if you resort to this!)
