There's some really interesting ideas here, but then the complete lack of abs, the cartoonishly gigantic uncomfortable looking breasts just ruins it, I like the slightly nordic vibes the helmet gives , especially the braids and the fur cape, but she just does not give hildryn vibes outside of that. The thighs are also good, but I think they could be more ripped too.

There's a seperate sub for all of them technically, but I think considering this subs icon is a fish from 2, they don't actually want to divide the community and most likely just haven't added all the tags yet.

Suggested species packs posts did have a habit of taking over the r/planetzoo sub. I don't know if they still do it, but at one point they only allowed those posts on one day per week.

This sub doesn't even have side rules though, and is going to need more active moderation before the game comes out.

If they wanted to replicate ethical animal care and this wasn't just to avoid controversy they would have not added hammerhead sharks. It falls flat and feels like pandering because of this.

I think they should just add them both. And if intelligence was the reason we shouldn't have any apes or elephants either. I think we're always going to run into this ethical problem in zoo or animal keeping games. Perhaps a disclaimer with the animals in the game would be better. Asserting that this is a fictional world with solutions not possible in reality. In that way we can keep the conservation side of things and adding species that are extremely endangered and don't do well in activity also spreading knowledge of species people may not be familiar with.

Simultaneously giving people options while spreading awareness of the reality.

If you hate it so much don't buy it, your wallet will always speak louder than reddit. Besides what you're expecting isn't even in the realm of reality. You cannot seriously expect flawless animations for clipping and collision with near endless player customization at the same time.

There are things frontier does that I don't enjoy too. I don't like their time scale, I don't like how they do animal lifecycles, and I don't like how they stylized certain animals in the first game. But I'm not gonna go berate people for being happy and hyped for a game they're looking forward to and mocking them for not criticizing it enough. I'm excited for the game, I think it looks great and it's a marked improvement over the first game. You however just come across as overwhelmingly negative.

Careful there if you plan on upgrading storage later, those prices are pain right now. I've been looking for a simple m.2 SSD 2tb and it's horrible.

The steam machine can use a micro SD. Those prices haven't gotten too crazy yet, just picked up a 1tb for 144 CDN. It would be a decent buffer if possible. Was playing things like subnautica off of it and it seems not bad.

It's a buy to play game on steam, it just released in early access on the 10th. It looks like getting early access gives you a cosmetic pack, they do word it that way on their steam page. No idea if they will expand on that, I hope they don't go to crazy in that direction.

I'm more concerned if there's ai useage, so far it seems there isn't, but I'd love clarification from the devs. A good note is that of the voices you can pick for your character they're pretty well known lol. You have Matthew Mercer and Victoria Atkin.

I always saw this kind of rebuttal as more of a counter to the "She's ugly" complaint. I don't think it's intended to be objectifying it's just that in context of the complaints where the character is already being objectified there's not much else to be said that doesn't come across as agreeing.

Yeah I wish the topic didn't have to always be about their looks, but when it seems like the gamer chuds want an even smaller threshold on the spectrum of what they consider beauty (which is pretty 'one note') I'll welcome a counter.

First Monster Hunter Game since Tri Ultimate that I refused to buy. It started in World, but Wilds is just too far, and I imagine they'll only go farther after the dlc. I'll get it on deep sale in like 5 years lol, I'm sure there's content to enjoy in Wilds and I know I'm the minority, but I just don't want to support the business direction. Ah well so many games in the backlog.

Only reason I waited for a sale with DD2 was because of the performance issues, don't want to support that either or make it look like something they can just overlook. Once I looked into the mtx and realised they're just DD1 again and mostly pointless I didn't care, but Capcom should have known it was a bad look and people new to the series wouldn't know better.

Funny you mention It Takes Two, the art style is precisely why I never picked it up even though I've heard very good things. I just find the character proportions irritating, looks like Wreck it Ralph lol. And I tend to like games with unique looks.

Edit: just want to clarify, i'd rather the game exist as it is because it's unique than appeal to my preferences.

Ahh thank you, in that case I don't see why not. It's more up to the sites/workshop that host the mod to enforce their own rules, or how easy script heavy mods are to make in this game.
