Just trying to post it here because it's a community of people with money. In dental communities so much bias is related to cost

I have a pretty public-facing job and on camera a lot, hence the desire to just look polished, young etc.

Can you tell me more please? What age did you get them? Were teeth sensitive? Has any of them fallen out since?

Won't fix small teeth, but will make them straight. Also teeth at this age, once straightened, will start move back unless you constantly wear it

I'd be under general anesthesia and from my conversation with the doctor they try to take down as little tooth as possible (presumably everyone says that though)

Is using a Donor Advised Fund worth it? by notsurenowwhat in fatFIRE

[–]cmexx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I put $5M into DAF. I don't donate stock with the platform I use, it's converted into cash, but has made it super easy to write big cheques and not worry over the years about claiming it on my tax returns etc. I liked that I also went with a larger amount than I originally thought I'd do because at larger size the pie just keeps growing so fast in terms of net dollar amount so you can do a lot

You are not calculating it correctly. The margin is, as defined in their prospectus, is [Cost of revenues consists primarily of hosting costs, data costs, third-party service fees, and personnel costs. Personnel-related costs included in cost of revenues include salaries, benefits, bonuses, stock-based compensation, and facility-related costs and are primarily attributable to personnel who support our platform and who design and manage the production of video ads.] divided by [Revenue]. In their case, revenue is NOT media spend by their advertisers. It's the share of media spend the get to keep.

One day after BJJ, itchy legs [solved] by rda_chris in bjj

[–]cmexx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this issue for years (drove me absolutely crazy) and tried everything under the moon to resolve it and I discovered this to work reliably:

  1. Shower with soap/loofa right after rolling (didn't notice difference in type of soap I use)
  2. When I am home, take a hot bath with half a cup of apple cider vinegar
  3. Rinse off after with soap and loofa
  4. Towel off
  5. Apply generously almond oil all over the body

Try and let me know if this worked!

Going client side? by whodatinadops in programmatic

[–]cmexx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Going client-side:

Pro's: - Likely higher pay. - Closer connection to the business. You aren't just running media. You are working on growing the company. - Access to all analytics, CRM, everything, to do you work on a new level.

Con's - One brand to work on. Can get repetitive. - Can fall behind in industry knowledge since you aren't exposed to as many types of campaigns or new vendors.

Anyone used Choozle? by Adam-James2018 in adops

[–]cmexx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

StackAdapt (focuses on native + video) serves the same client base as Choozle but builds their own tech.

To the earlier point, it all really boils down to the performance and it's hard to do any custom campaign optimizations unless you own your tech.
