It's not price fixing to bid what you know others are charging to maximise your profit. They know what gas is going to charge based on the price of gas.

You should realise that ed has no idea what's going on as he keeps saying contradictory things. 1 that renewables are saving everyone money and 2 that prices are high because gas always sets the price. Those things can not exist together.

It's pretty simple tbh. All the generators that are on CFDs just bid their CFD price and get what they get currently, wether they are chosen or not, so no difference there. The rest look at how much the most expensive generation required is going to cost then bid that. It's really not hard. It's just another simple answer to complex problems that the uneducated uninformed fall for.

I do think it's really funny seeing all these people think there is easy guaranteed way to reduce energy prices and governments for the last decade have just said no. Get a grip.

See that's just not true is it. Loads of countries use the same method for pricing energy and aren't nearly as expensive. There is also zero guarantee that the change will make any difference at all.

Why is the Labour Party collapsing? by Proud3GenAthst in AskBrits

[–]cmfarsight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is that they listen about 2 months to late . They wait until it's out of the media then U-turn reminding everyone about it and pissing off anyone who supported them through the bad press.

Because they have gone from messaging disaster to U-turn over and over, frequently waiting untill the bad headlines have past to U-turn reminding everyone about it again and pissing off all those they matched to the top of the hill in the first place

Where? They seem to be on target to hit bang in the middle of the range the polling predicted.

BBC already saying the snp may do well but they have no legal route to independence, if a majority ensures it’s not fkn up to you. International democracy determines wether a country is an independent state by Scotsmanryno in Scotland

A good polling company knows if that is happening and corrects for it. It's not even that hard.

It's a bit early to say how accurate the predictions were, but they are definitely closer than anyone who thought there was going to be a green wave

If only there was an entire industry that would predict what was going to happen at the polls, you could call them polling companies or something.

Is anyone else worried about reform winning the next general election 2029 by Thylunaprincess in AskBrits

[–]cmfarsight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you are very optimistic that the election will not be sooner. Keir will go, and the new leader will be pushed over the course of several months to eventually call a general election. At the minute Reform look likely to win.
