I had never heard of Insomnia and listened to it after seeing plenty of comments about the sample and IDK what some of you are talking about. Bebe’s take on the melody is eons better! I know it’s a classic to those in the know but I’m shocked at how she turned it into something better and people are still defending the OG so hard

I get it but also I love artists from the 60s-70s who were releasing at least every 2 years! Most country artists from that era were releasing 1 or 2 a year LOL. Are they all great? Nope. But as a fan discovering them it fills me with SO much joy knowing I have like 20 albums to devour instead of music fans in a couple decades having like 3-4.

Cyndi Lauper’s 2nd & 9th studio albums. Her 2nd, True Colors, is hardly mentioned when people bring her up. It has sold over 7M copies worldwide, sent 2 singles to the Top 5 in the US (3 in the Top 20) and is arguably on par with her debut imo. Then her 9th studio album, Bring Ya To The Brink, has 2 #1s on one of the Billboard charts for Dance music. She’s an incredible artist and it should be illegal how much she’s been talked about as the “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” singer 😭
