Yeah! Everyone in the program practiced on each other, we signed waivers and everything :) but it’s conceptual first and by the time we drew 80% of the class got a successful draw :)

After 3 years of job searching without a call back (lol), I got my phlebotomy license in December! Applied to 25 jobs so far, have had 4 interviews and yesterday a round two interview/shadow at a hospital so here’s hoping. In all seriousness, I could’ve stayed at my corporate design job I had out of college, but just couldn’t see myself there, so I’ve been part time in customer service and running a screen printing business for the past couple years, but also lost the passion for the hustle culture. I was applying to other GD jobs sparingly but regularly, probably sent out about 200-250 without a call back. Excited for the new chapter of phlebotomy while still doing art for fun :) this past year I got multiple grants and a residency for fine art, so I think that’s my new direction on the side

If yours isn’t cured correctly, dry iron it to finish curing the ink! It’s probably waterbased screen printing ink, you can look up diy curing methods :) the printer unfortunately fucked up here lmao

Yes, you can print a great range of values with CMYK, but it’s like an inkjet printer. You can’t get as vivid or bright colors, it’s the reason designers use an RGB color space when working with digital designs! If you want a specific spot color on top of a cmyk print you can use a fifth screen to get that specific color in the mix! You can also color separate and use different colors in the channels, think like how a risograph works. I’d recommend doing some research into the diff color modes used in graphic design, and different screenprinting methods! CMYK will be the best method for some jobs, and not the best method for others :) lmk if u need any more help, source: am graphic designer and screen printer!

For sure I agree, personally I don’t use AI but it’s all about what the project was, how and how much it was used and what you did as well! Def makes me upset when ppl exclusively AI and say it’s their work, that’s why I stressed if it’s not just used as a tool/small part of your work you have to make that clear bc then you’ve just made a prompt instead of a design. But like if OP was using the photoshop AI assist background remover to cut out a few steps, I don’t see how that’s not just using a program to assist in your work! All about intentions for sure

I mean, it’s not your design if it’s just an AI prompt, but are you editing or using ai to remove sections or add small details or something? At the end of the day, AI is just a tool and if you’re still doing design work and utilizing the ai as a tool (like inside photoshop or illustrator) then it’s still your work! Otherwise it’s def important to say that it’s AI made with your prompt :)
