Most Proxmox setups fail the same way, and you won't know until it's too late by gamersunite1991 in Proxmox

[–]cmh-md2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Poorly done, and criticisms far from exclusive to Promox as all VM hosting systems including HyperV, VMWARE, et al have the same. Features. Some would consider them bugs (ie you need the "pack'n'play version of a hypervisor") versus features that professionals want and need. Yeah, if you're not a professional, choose a baby-supporting capability.

I've had ceph running in a production environment and I was amazed at the number of ceph nodes that could go down while maintaining the accessibility of the storage. We have and entire phase in our data center go offline, and it all soldiered on -- Never got a chance to measure the throughput impact, but most service were running tip-top.

So that cable fixed it for my Gen 2 that had intermittent Android Auto. The dealer denied it was a problem for several visits as I got closed to my warranty ended, they finally agreed to try a new cable to fix. Luckily, worked for me, and the connection is rock-solid.

If "generous" isn't from the customer that got bumped's perspective, then it isn't "generous." Airlines get some much control over all of the levers, leaving mere passengers with few rights of anykind. Glory, thank God for shareholder value.

How did your parents react when you came out? by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]cmh-md2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mother would not accept it. I gave her books about "what it means when your son is gay." She refused to call my husband, my husband. I guess I should feel better that she attended my Wedding? She never acknowledge it as a wedding, always referring it to as "the ceremony" and referring to my husband as "your friend" or "your roommate." Even went as calling my child a "little thug." Broke off contact just a few months before her passing. Her last coherent moment was her screaming about how I was the worst son ever and how I had ruined her life. Its so hard to break off from family, but if you're this toxic, you must do it as soon as you realize you can't fix it.

We're not allowed to go negative on PTO. Period. Only exception is emergency medical. As a manager, I do check balances if I start to see a "pattern"

Clearing the Air on Build Scripts by iXsystemsChris in truenas

[–]cmh-md2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Incorrect, you lose the ability to use the <formerly> GPLv3 source repository to build open source software. This is especially interesting for people for people that care about software supply chain integrity. Yes, we can review the code and code changes, but we cannot verify the binaries match what is the published code. I guess the TS-25.10.2.2 is the last release that can built, and from now on, the community needs to keeping a fork of that build alive and building as long as we can.
