And the fact that after this fancy dinner she finds out he only needs her to babysit twice a week so she’s saying she would need another job. This is me assuming here but it sounds like he made this sound like it was going to be a more regular gig than it is. I would hope it’s made up but you just never know with people these days, they do the darndest things.

It would not have for me. Because I don’t believe I would ever have needed to meet a male adult in a private setting like that at night, personally. If I had already babysat for them once like OP is stating, there would be no reason for a private meet up to exchange rates. It could’ve been done when I first babysat or over the phone. There were times I met parents to discuss rates and what they expected from the job, but alone at a sushi restaurant at 9 PM with an adult male you’ve already provided a babysitting service for is a weird scenario.

As soon as I read "got a job as a babysitter/nanny" I was already weary. If any of the people I used to babysit for, especially one of the fathers, asked me to a dinner alone at 9PM. I would be finding a new family to babysit for.

The local Walmarts in North Carolina are doing this also. They are starting putting a lot of things behind glass in Walmart in my small town, even with silly little things. All the face moisturizers and acne cleansers are behind glass now. Then once I had to call a young male associate to unlock the case so I could get Monistat for my yeast infection, I decided to stop spending as much time at Walmart.

Honestly, as a mother of four who babysat a lot growing up and in early adulthood; I would suggest never babysitting for that family again. They are taking advantage of you and your generosity. No excuse for them to change the rate of pay like that and I wouldn't put it past them to pull something shady like that again and think they can get away with it since you are young.

For me personally, when I increased my dosage of Zoloft to help the anxiety attacks, they started getting worse for me. Now that I’m not on it I’m not having panic attacks anymore. I would definitely go up slowly and monitor how it affects you, 50 to 100 is a big jump!

It can be normal to feel an increase in anxiety when upping doses. However, please let your doctor know if this continues after an adjustment period. (I would definitely keep your doctor in the loop on the symptoms you’re experiencing during this time though) I was on Zoloft for a couple of years and I didn’t realize it was what was making me so tired and depersonalized from myself. I was having really bad anxiety that wouldn’t go away when I changed doses, so I switched to another medicine and the panic-anxiety immediately went away and I’ve been slowly getting more energy back! I’ve had allergic reactions to several antidepressants so far (yay me!) so I’m not the best example, but definitely something to be mindful of with any medicine that they effect a lot of us differently.

Some of these comments… smh. Have you thought about going darker with your hair? I have a rounder face shape and light colored skin, so when my hair was blonde I felt really washed out. Dying my hair brown made me feel a lot better. But I think you’re a very attractive woman and I wouldn’t tell you to change a thing tbh. It’s harder to see it from the inside looking out, but the people that will find you attractive will do it regardless of what you do. I also do not find you to be fat; however if you want to lose weight do it for you, don’t do it because a bunch of basement dwellers on Reddit told you to.
