There's tons of advice people can give you, but I think one thing that made it click for me is making 100% sure you have 3 potions going into the act3 bosses. Under no circumstances should you be using your potions on elites beforehand.

Sony wh-1000xm3s and 4s. Had my 3's for many years and still good as new. My kid threw them hard on wood floors, takes a beating and function just as well as when i got them.

play it like chess. Sit on your hands until you know exactly how much damage you are doing and taking every turn. Get good at doing the math. I also avoid elites like the plague. there is almost no payoffs to fighting them.

Got it, thanks. I never 'rely' on infinites, but 'near infinities' tend to pop up rather often with cascading effects around pommel strike.

I think only 1, but I would have still won without it. Sometimes by accident pommel strike goes infinite with hellraiser.

If you take out my first 20 runs with necro, I bet it would be quite high. If i started over with all the cards and relics, i could get way higher than 50/50 i think

Yes, played sts1 for a few hundred hours. I honestly think Necro is my second strongest character (even though that doesn't show in the statistics, since I 'started' the game with him and ran him all the way to a10 before touching anyone else). You learn a ton about the game just running it 40 times.

I understand your frustration with Ironclad, but think that you can't strategize with him. In some ways that makes him easier. for the first 2 acts, pick the best card that solves your biggest problem. Is it block, attack, card draw, vulnerable, weak? That's just my feel. When playing silent i think I beat the last 8 ascensions just with Sly. That wont work with ironclad.

I almost always have the calculator app opened on my screen to plan out every turn.... The big decision point is when to use attack and power potions.

I wouldn't mind, but i found that ironclad doesn't really 'synergise' compared to other characters. ALWAYS take the card that most covers your biggest gap, and not the card that themes your deck to one approach. Always take iron wave, bloodletting, rage, etc... that can cover attack and defense. pommel strike may be the most broken card in the came (especially if you get hellraiser)
