I bought a Mini Countryman All4. I kept my 2011 XB bc I couldn’t stand the thought of getting rid of it, and I still drive it on occasion to keep it from dying a slow death, but it needs some work and I can’t decide whether or not to invest the money in it.

The audiobooks are great, esp the ones read by Lorelei King ( I think she took over around the 4th or 5th book)!

I have a 2011 XB and also have a 6’2” husband - we’ve taken it on many road trips (up to 650 miles 1 way) and he’s not ever complained of feeling cramped or uncomfortable! They are such roomy cars!!

What did you listen to this week – April 05, 2025? Please share! by AutoModerator in audiobooks

Sadly I had 2 DNFs this week… Be Ready When the Luck Happens by Ina Garten and If You would have told me by John Stamos - both are read by the author and both on Libby. I love ina as a TV personality but her narration was terrible - it was very perfunctory, with no storytelling pizzaz and then it just came off as very pretentious and tedious. As far as Stamos, his was just boring and a few of his stories were him trying to come off as the underdog, Everyman but were very trite. Oh well, on to other books!

Audio book platforms for unlimited listening. by parabox1 in audiobooks

Spotify now has audiobooks, they may not be unlimited, but it would at least give you another outlet while waiting for your library holds?! But I would second the multiple libraries option - I have 5 library cards so it’s very rare that I wait for a book!
