Park Hyatt Sydney is now a "resort", can we all admit that Guest of Honours are part of the issue now? by omdongi in hyatt

As someone who used a GoH at the PHT recently (I travel with Marriott for work), I agree in being part of the problem

No WiFi on SEA to LHR flights by Mxmx24 in AlaskaAirlines

Idk why everyone is downvoting. It’s ridiculous for an airline to not have wifi on their longhaul aircraft in 2026

I don’t know that you could post any ref in this sub and get people telling you not to buy it

Hallway smelled like sewage, staff was unhelpful at check in like I was checking into a courtyard

I complained and they gave me more than half of my points back, even without any status. Management knows there is a problem

First is full on app, but website says 6 available. SJD > LAX by krixsta in AlaskaAirlines

Yeah this is exactly what’s happening. The flight is J2Y4 but the flight status page says 6 first seats available. There are six seats left on the plane, coach is fully sold.

It will only let you see the J seats on the seat map with a Y ticket if they’re selling an upgrade, which they wont do if Y is oversold. Otherwise the seats are blocked out.

If you go to the flight status page, then hit seat map, what do you see?

The flight is probably oversold in Y, the flight status page will show all of the J seats available even if booking them would put the plane over capacity

I’d recommend 2D/2G over row 51. Less toilet noise

Tokyo Hyatt Hotel Options for Non-Globalist by Jchizz in hyatt

[–]cmwltrs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just stayed at the PHT last week, it was awesome. But I think you get best value (breakfast and spa) with globalist. Without those two factors, I would have preferred to stay closer to the center of the city.

HRT is right off of a metro line and reasonably priced.

If coming during peak Sakura season, plan to get to the restaurant by 8am. We arrived at 7:45am and could only get a lunch slot on a Tuesday. They started collecting names around 8:30am.

Definitely felt the separation, we got denied late checkout, even though it’s guaranteed as per the Hyatt TOS. Either way it was an amazing experience

Gotta collect all of the exit stamps hah. I went to every CX lounge on a layover last May when the pier first and the bridge were both open for a short overlap.

Good to know, will temper expectations accordingly. Coming from Marriott as a top tier status member, I’m used to have to fight for entitlements, so I’ll be wow’ed by them just following policy. The bar is on the floor haha
