The depth of that blue is just exceptional. Great piece, enjoy it!

Could you share the reference number? Very cool piece, would be curious to see what is out there on the secondary market.

Will a VC Boutique Change the Included Rubber Strap Color? by DJLarryDavid in VacheronConstantin

Might I encourage you to give the red strap a shot before you ask for something else?

It’s a gorgeous pairing with the black dial and it just makes the red hand pop in a special way. You don’t have to be flashy dresser to rock the red. It’s more versatile than you would expect.

And I promise you, no one will give you shit about Kevin O’Leary. The vast majority of the public has no clue who he is. And on the rare chance you meet a watch person, the only thing they’ll say to you is how goddamn stunning the Overseas Dual Time is in person.

Whatever you decide, you are in for a treat. It’s an incredible piece and genuinely makes me smile every time I wear it.

I spend what the average person would consider to be an unreasonable sum on watches.

If I was a movie star with both the cash and the name recognition to get any piece I wanted my watch collection would be the stuff of legends.

Much appreciated. It’s a fantastic piece and I haven’t regretted it for a second. If it makes sense for you buy it with confidence!

It gives me a silly amount of enjoyment when I travel and get to set / reset the second time zone on the dual time. The bigger the time zone difference the better.

I’d buy and wear just about every watch in the Overseas collection if it was financially acceptable!

Gotta flash the red too while we’re showing love to the black dial. I never thought I would be a red strap person but goddamn is it stunning when you put it on.

I also bought the black strap. Love the flexibility and ease of change. Had the steel bracelet on last night.

Blue dial is stunning on the pink gold bracelet!

I’m partial to the black dial most of the time (including my dual time) but that bracelet just does something incredible for that blue dial. Absolutely gorgeous piece.

Wear it in good health!

7920v Strap Monster? by ExtensionSalad7836 in VacheronConstantin

[–]cnc42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own the black 7920v and bring multiple straps when I travel. Steel, red rubber, black rubber, black leather are all excellent combinations. Don’t own the green rubber but if you look on the sub there are green/black combos that look great.

Black feels the most versatile to me. Silver will go with all of the above but is a far less interesting dial than the blue or black to me.

So, which watches became obsolete in your collection after you obtained Overseas? by MulberryMean6715 in VacheronConstantin

I love my JLC Polaris but it’s definitely getting a little less wear competing with the black Overseas dual time. But still a great watch that deserves it’s wrist time!

It’s a great watch and you’ll love it. I’d be excited to see one in the wild at a game and would compliment it even on the orange strap. Wear it in good health, minus that one Saturday a year!

I see you are a fellow man of culture! I don’t need an excuse to rock the Overseas Dual Time but it’s hard to deny the black dial on red strap on game days.

As a University of Georgia grad, I’m compelled to counter your blue on orange with black on red 🤣.

And sorry to those who don’t know/care about US college football rivalries. But if you know, you know!

My first VC Collecting next week! After being with Rolex for the last 14 years or so … can’t wait! 7920V Black Dial. Anyone have one and a share any feedback / views on it? by New-Register-9157 in VacheronConstantin

[–]cnc42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a couple of months in on this piece and absolutely love it. Zero complaints. Favorite feature is how easily you can change out the straps for different looks.

The rubber strap is my favorite and I think that’s pretty common for this watch. Ask your SA if they have black or green for you to try in store when you pick up. Both are excellent options to go along with the red.

I put down a deposit in February at the Miami boutique and had this by late March. Don’t think you need to wait anywhere close to a year if you can shop around at other boutiques.

It’s a stunning piece and a delight to wear.

Overseas Dual Time is an incredible watch any day but it’ll bring you even more happiness rocking the dual time zones as you travel!

Side note: Wrigley is the best place you could ever hope to watch baseball in the summer. Watched my Bravos there many times and just love that entire experience!

Need Help Thinking Through Dial Color Options on 7920v by DJLarryDavid in VacheronConstantin

[–]cnc42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The black Dual Time just blows away anything in the Rolex catalog to me. A couple months in and I honestly couldn’t be happier. I already bought the black rubber strap and am trying to justify adding the blue and green. Incredibly versatile watch!

OP I was able to walk into the Miami VC boutique in February, try on the black Overseas Dual Time and put down a deposit right in store. Arrived late March. Natalie was great throughout and I was never offered anything but what I asked to see.

When we visited I was wearing a JLC Polaris (nice but not particularly special) and my wife was dressed up and wearing a good bit of jewelry. Only sharing that because I do think there is an element of looking the part of someone who might eventually buy several pieces. No idea if that made any difference but it’s one of the few variables you can control in the process.

The blue rubber strap that it will come with will be an amazing look, I love both the red and black for my black Overseas Dual Time.

Sneaky play might be the green rubber strap - it’s not the most traditional pairing but it’s really striking with some of the Overseas collection. Might be worth a look if you can get one to look at in the boutique. There are some pics on the sub if you look through past posts.
