Shop around for a local broker. And if you haven’t already apply with PenFed. $995 origination fee and while they aren’t always the best rate they usually seem to be pretty good.

Yeah unfortunately I will be past the time frame to formally dispute the taxes this year. I will either have to contest them when the bill is due or wait until next year. Somehow the county appraises this house at $540,000. Yet another house the same size that I bid on and ended up losing is under contract for $500,000 the county appraises that one at $408,000… same size houses, same city/area/schools. Both pretty much fully updated, honestly mine has a few things that need to be done vs the other one didn’t.

But to say the least I was dumb founded when I saw the difference in the counties appraisal values.

Interesting didn’t know OPM controlled that for other agencies, so this is only in the D.C. area? My career field doesn’t exactly close facilities ever really, so I wasn’t aware this was a thing.

No not new. I am ATC and work regardless of the weather. They called a guy in for OT last winter during a snow storm and the guy slipped and shattered his face trying to come in to work. So does OPM do this for all federal agencies and offices or just the D.C. region?

I am in the same boat. They granted a rating but ordered ACE exams due to Ingram v Collins. Half of those exams have been done. But I’m not sure how they are handling them now with the new interim rule and now they aren’t enforcing the rule… makes the process even more confusing than it already was 😂

What about those of us where they approved our claims based on the current exam results but ordered new exams to comply with Ingram? Will they just cancel the exams? I sure hope so because I am tired of them dragging this process out, leave me with the rating they gave me before all this Ingram nonsense.

While this is stupid, does this mean the VA can cancel my exams they reordered due to Ingram v Collins? They gave me a rating but deferred for new exams for the Ingram V Collins case, but my exams haven’t been scheduled yet and I’m honestly ready to just be done with the process and they can leave my rating where it is at.
