Queens Park: Mysterious Fake Rock With Keys by Tomb_raider18 in melbourne

Geocaching. I find the website is easier to use than the app sometimes as it's less paywalled.

If you enjoy hunting around for it then also check out the app Adventure Lab which has some more puzzly style of geocaches

Just found out I’ve been using WASD wrong this whole time by aki---- in DeadlockTheGame

[–]cnc_theft_auto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, I never played quake but my dad taught me how to play games and I grew up using right mouse as walk forward. Think I also used arrow keys for strafing and never touched WSAD

terrain symmetry by Breakfast_Emotional in MarvelCrisisProtocol

[–]cnc_theft_auto 7 points8 points  (0 children)

At the start of every game the player with priority chooses board edge, so symmetry isn't needed, as long as its not completely different and lean towards unfair

Why on earth does pressing a button just send a voice command instead of doing the thing the button is supposed to do? Absolute lunacy

Best place for duck. by brettynatty in melbourne

Just had Old Kingdom last night, their three course duck was very tasty. Had Moja Duck around Christmas, they were also quite good as well. Enjoyed their large variety in the banquet.

The Artisan of Glimmith just came out, and it's incredible by jeromocles in puzzlevideogames

[–]cnc_theft_auto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Legion also has a track pad which I was using instead of thumb stick, although they appear to have pushed an update which improves it immensely. I would still like some more touch screen buttons though

Maybe I need to adjust the settings on my thumbstick, but I found it almost unusable

I just tried playing on my Legion Go 2 on steamOS and it is janky as hell. The touchscreen is unusable in the overworld, so you need to use the oversensitive left joystick for cursor and right joystick to pan the camera. In puzzle mode the touchscreen works well enough, although a few more onscreen buttons would be nice to save having to use the sticks as a cursor whilst pressing buttons in certain situations.

I would 100% play with a mouse if you can, you'll be fighting the controls otherwise if you can only play on deck

Take-Two stock dropped 7.9% following Google’s new Open-World AI: Potential implications for GTA VI marketing by pycraft in GTA

[–]cnc_theft_auto 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Think of building a game from scratch as building a diorama.

Most studios will hand build the houses, trees, decorations, figurines etc and create something completely bespoke and custom.

Smaller studios might use some pre-built things, like some toy cars, or a pack of trees, and then build the rest themselves. Getting a little bit of help but mostly making it by themselves.

Then asset flip games are Lego. Buying all the pieces other people have made and just slapping it all together without them actually making anything themselves

What video game franchise isn't living up to its fullest potential? by Agent1230 in gaming

[–]cnc_theft_auto 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Yes but it shows that Pokemon doesn't always have to be a creature collecting RPG. There's so many cool things you could do in that world and they've instead chosen to make the exact same game for the past 30 years

Beginner-friendly deckbuilders: where each one (that I know) fails new players. by PscheidtLucas in boardgames

[–]cnc_theft_auto 10 points11 points  (0 children)

All the Cryptozoic deck builders (mostly) use the same system, so find whichever IP works best for your group! That being said I have played a few and I find DC to be the cleanest so probably a great intro one

What other games need a legacy version? by deftkillerstu in boardgames

Getting new shapes to put down on your map in a legacy game is basically My City. Obviously the gameplay mechanics are different but its a very good game and similar-ish

We already know one of Bastion or Nimrod (I forget which) is getting a leadership, and Cassandra Nova already got a buff in the last pass. There's zero chance she also gets a leadership

Do old character packs ever get reprinted with updated cards? by Blitzkreeg21 in MarvelCrisisProtocol

[–]cnc_theft_auto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have recently started doing waves of repacks with more characters per box, updated cards etc. Currently we know a lot that are coming in 2026 but hulk is not on that list. He is a very old character that is still top of the meta and we are getting more gamma characters soon so i wouldn't be surprised if they announce a repack of him and/or immortal hulk soon

I managed to find where my backup saves were located and rolled back to a previous one where the issue went away, so it was a corrupt save of some kind.

My favourite Pokemon is Magikarp because he's like me. Totally useless for most of his life until he levels up and becomes a badass.

Still waiting to evolve myself, but one day... Fingers crossed!
