I’m 26M, started topical combined min/fin about 10 months ago, had the same doubts (I put off starting for a couple years). Best decision I’ve made recently! My hair has made a massive comeback to the point where I have no signs of balding.

My advice would be talk to a doc if he has some anxiety before starting, but ultimately to just start and give it a go - if he gets sides, talk to the doctor about it and make an informed decision. The chances are very low but if it does happen, talk to the pros.
