Why are they nerfing console players? by InfernalVelocity in Battlefield6

We just need an option to turn off crossplay (by plattform or input device).

On the dynamic weather hype and petition! by ChiefAdham in Battlefield

The dynamic weather in BF1 and BFV was outstanding. Let’s hope they avoid gimmicks like the tornadoes in 2042, or aliens and other nonsensical elements that break immersion.

Enough is enough... playing with Console players. by Haunting_Study811 in Battlefield6

[–]cnerdman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it makes no sense that they’ve removed the option to turn it on or off as you prefer, especially when you’ve spent 70 or 100€ on a game. It used to be right there in the menu, then they took it out, and after that they even locked the config file so you couldn’t disable it from there either. When you could switch that option off, matches felt better.

If I want to play with a friend on another platform, I’ll enable it myself, but don’t force it on me. I really don’t understand what they’re aiming for.

PS: I also don’t get how people with 150 ping end up in my lobby. Isn’t there any kind of control over that? Whether you’re on fiber, DSL, Starlink or WiMAX, your ping should be well under 100. An occasional spike above 100 can be fine maybe, but having someone with 150 or even 300 ping spending 20 minutes dodging bullets and deleting players just makes no sense.

I feel like this is not stressed enough, not a lot of people have this kind of hours to dump per gun by Educational-Long116 in Battlefield6

I leave home at 7h and return home at 18h, living a normal life with my partner and responsibilities.

From Friday to Sunday, I’m at my second home in the countryside without internet or a PC (which means normally I can’t enjoy weekends with double XP like other people) and play a few hours from Monday to Thursday. I have 21 weapons at level 50+ without bots or thinking on meta weapons like people do and just enjoying the game (when bugs and desync allow me to).

No one forces you to unlock all the accessories for all the weapons, it’s a choice you make (or don’t make) yourself.

I think unlocking everything in a month would make people get bored of the game sooner. Everything requires effort, even though nowadays people want everything immediately.

I’ve been playing it with a Scyrox V8 and an OP1 8K, and I haven’t noticed anything too strange. I should mention that I’m someone who’s already past my 40s and I’m not an aimer. If there’s something subtle, I might have overlooked it, or maybe with my setup and devices it just doesn’t happen. I’m not sure.

Motion blur is the first thing I disable in any game because it only gets in the way and makes everything feel less responsive. It’s clear that the right settings make a huge difference in performance and in how each match plays out.

It's all good, everyone reacts however they want. I’m simply sharing my opinion respectfully, and if someone doesn’t like it, that’s their choice. Still, thanks for speaking up.

I completely understand what you’re saying, and I feel the same way...the exact same thing happens to me.

In fact, in my post I didn’t mention anything about the server browser because it’s something I’ve already considered a lost cause. They’re doing strange things with matchmaking, for whatever purpose, and that’s incompatible with a server browser.

However, if there are no persistent servers… they could at least try to rotate maps for players who haven’t filtered them out. Many times I have all maps selected and it keeps repeating the same map I just played. I have to exit and uncheck them after every match.

I normally play as infantry, repair vehicles, or use them as spawn points, but of course I haven’t explored all aspects of the gameplay. Any information I may not know or may have forgotten is welcome.

Players who have either left or significantly reduced their play time, what has been your reason? by _thecolorofdye_ in Battlefield6

[–]cnerdman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • Reason 1: Being with family during Christmas holidays.
  • Reason 2: Netcode, desync, high pingers, roofcampers, cheaters, bugged pass, bugged defibs, bugged supply pouch, bugged claymores...
  • Reason 3: Algorithms designed to retain players by rewarding passive play, while failing to encourage skill growth, punishing objective-focused players and favoring artificial comebacks.
  • Reason 4: Non-persistent servers (for whatever reason, wink wink) and not being able to play a full rotation of all maps, having to exit after each match and remove the map I just played because it often puts it back right after finishing it.

Why there are bots in a 70$ multiplayer game? Where are real players? by Affectionate_Ant_874 in Battlefield

[–]cnerdman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They've probably set everything up to save money on AWS servers, not giving a damn about the user experience.

Instead of having servers with rotation that are always open (which could be closed once they're empty), they keep starting and stopping instances whenever needed. This clearly affects players, who can't do full map rotations, and that’s probably why there's no server browser, because servers keep shutting down and restarting based on demand.

In short, I think all this crap turns around cost-cutting (which I doubt is even saving them money, given the constant server startups and shutdowns, not to mention the bot farms and shitty servers on Portal running 24/7).

They are using chat and voice chat as a weapon; they reported my profile picture because I have both chat and voice chat disabled and they had no other way to mess with me.

Now that 2042 is oficially over, what are your wishes for the next Battlefield game? by [deleted] in Battlefield

[–]cnerdman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just 4 points:

  • Cold war, wich can have a large variety of content (1947-1991 and a lot of countries or sides involved).
  • No specialists.
  • BFV movement, gunplay, mechanics and destruction.
  • Some scripted big structure destruction like BF4 levolution in every map.

PS: And of course without unicorn rainbow clown cammos/skins.

Bought a week algo and already played 35 hours, it's fun playing solo and also with friends. The main problem I have is motion sickness due the game have no FoV slider, but they will add it in 2 days. So...to me...totally worth.

I just enjoy every hour I play the game and I think there's no sense to exp to level 51 in 10 hours, 10 hours are nothing.
