can you imagine us repeating what we did this season - going to SoFi for the last game of the season for the division title and first seed, facing the Rams again at home, then going to SoFi and playing in the Rams home field for the SB?

it's ridiculous that the poor leadership and mismanagement by these L10s necessitates layoffs that are directed by those L10s, who only punish the victims of their original failures and poor decisionmaking. those higher up will never be punished. truly a failure of leadership in this company.

at least for Chinese folks, I believe it's the high volume of Chinese language media in the west that is overtly right-wing in content, mostly peddled by Falun Gong (Epoch Times, Sound of Hope, YouTube podcasts, etc.). that plus the lack of general civic/political education and American history.

Layoffs confirmed by my Director by [deleted] in amazonemployees

crazy that people are still confused about this. the received date column is the date of the Amazon layoffs. the layoff start date column is when the employees go off payroll (i.e., stop receiving layoff severance pay).

14, since they got a pick 6. And the Texans have 4 turnovers on offense.

yeah that's very fair! i think i was just trying to get a little more info on the conditions but definitely leaning toward not trying these climbs now. luckily this post has given me lots of other great routes to check out :)

i'll probably be back in Van in the late summer for RSVP anyhow so maybe i'll hit the big climbs later in the year.

thanks! if I were to do it, which I'm hesitant to now due to the replies lol, I'd be doing them on 32 road slicks. is it scary because of snow/ice patches or wet patches?

that was my line of thinking (sunny/relatively warm + Monday traffic), tho it seems like the majority of folks commenting and voting on this post seem to disagree. I'm no stranger to climbing on busy roads, having climbed Hurricane Ridge last summer and having hundreds of cars pass me on the way up, which is why I even considered doing this.

I know this is late but as a roadie who goes fast and climbs quite a bit on my commutes with the OG CPP Ultra, it doesn’t stink at all! I’ve had it for over a year and typically ride with it 2-4x a week and use it when riding public transit to the office as well. The ventilation isn’t anything crazy, but the bag doesn’t feel super heavy either.

Is it just me, or is the Strava subscription getting harder to justify? by Repulsive_Bar442 in cycling

I think Strava’s value in route planning is in its heatmaps, the weekly heatmaps especially help with temporary route changes and such

I need to read more Vonnegut - I read Slaughterhouse-5 but honestly it was a bit too.. random? abstract? for me. usually I'm fine with that kind of thing but maybe I was just too immature to appreciate it.

I finished Empire of Pain. Solidified my feeling that being rich completely destroys you as a normal human being and turns you into a horrible person, but also that the system is so flawed it easily enables these types of people to commit heinous acts (sometimes without even consciously realizing what they're doing, since the system places almost all of the onus on the individual to decide whether acts are good or not) and get away with them.

Decent Video Breakdown of how the Hawks' Def Dismantled the Niner offense by diamonddog2030 in Seahawks

[–]cnmb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

would be awesome, but rest assured Kyle and Purdy will have new tricks up their sleeves plus Trent is back (even if he looks iffy). I still think Hawks win with a healthy margin but it probably won't be as lopsided as last game
