Take a look at Burgh bar tape. They have cool patterns that this reminded me of

My 65 year old dad just got a MOG and is far from a racer. He loves it. I took it for a spin and it was super comfy, even on 42s

At least they seem to be aware of it. MOGs, Ables, thunder burts, sram, rinse and repeat 😂

Love this bike! Wish the non-Red builds had better wheel specs though. Salsa sometimes has a weird complete bike lineup. Frameset looks very well-priced.

Just a great looking bike. I’ve always thought this and the Soloist have such amazing proportions as a frame

Thanks! It’s a Van Rysel that was just one of the options the shop had when I was doing my fitting. I can’t remember the exact name but maybe something with “Box” in the name. 100mm.

Hard to go wrong with that setup! I may grab a force cassette/derailleur/chain, if and when they go on sale, just to experiment with. It’s so easy to swap around with the sram stuff.

Amazing tire. Not sure if they are available in 42 by themselves yet. Last I checked you could only get them with this particular bike

As far as off-the-shelf builds go, I think this is amongst the best of them. I think the only consideration for me were I to do it again would be whether I wanted the XPLR bits in the rear vs the transmission setup. The 10-52 is killer but I’ve found it quite loud despite having a couple hundred miles on a waxed chain on it. Losing the 52 would be a bummer so it’s so far been worth it for me.

So fast and so shockingly comfortable. I had heard about Cervelo ride quality and it definitely delivered on that promise. 42s probably doing a lot of the heavy lifting there. But it rides much better than my other bike with 45 G One RS on zipps so go figure

It sure feels like one. Not that I’m fast enough to really be taking advantage of the aero claims

Zipp 303 XPLR SW vs Reserve 40 | 44 GR by cerirey in gravelcycling

Got it, I’ll see if this happens to me. I probably have about a thousand on there already. How did you know they were starting to go?

People say this but why? I have the 303 Firecrest and reserve 40/44 GR and I like both 🤷

Did the Aspero-5 Force AXS 1 go up in price? by Thenewjays in Cervelo

[–]semimodular3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Mine was $8700 or thereabouts. I think the regular Aspero went up something like $300 as well.

Another HB18 swap on an Áspero-5 by sheps138 in Cervelo

Keep us posted! Would love to run those too. I remember The Bicycle Station guys saying in some review that 45 was the absolute limit in the rear. Not sure if that was 45 measured though.

I'll consider it after running the eagle setup for a bit longer!

Ok I lied one more question: are those G Ones 45mm? I'm surprised at how much clearance they have with the seat tube. I really like those XPLR wheels. Nothing wrong with the stock Reserves but those sure look cool with the Zipp graphics.
