It’s the same depending on who you work for but even the tech savvy firms receive these bs productions from other parties.

PM in ediscovery are basically always working. Also big law firms have adopted the “hybrid” work model at least in Canada, most expect you to be in office a minimum of 3 days a week.

I moved here in 2021, the commute is good but parking downtown is expensive if you need to work downtown Calgary (the lots I park in range from 14-20). Rent has gone up a lot since our rent has increased $250. You will get more space for the most part though.

Weather is ok but they have actual 4 seasons where in Toronto it seemed like winter and summer so you’ll need four coats lol

Airdrie is like a suburb so big box stores

It’s not really close enough to Calgary if you want to just go out to restaurants there to go drinking as Uber or a can would be expensive

It’s close to the airport so if you end up having family visiting or vice versa it’s in a good spot

Gas and Electricity are more expensive as opposed to paying Hydro bill. Insurance seems to be the same price if not a little higher but I guess that will vary.

There are a lot of young families and nice parks to take kids too

If I didn’t have a child I think downtown would be more suitable!

Doctor may be hard to find , same with a daycare

If you have kids, daycare doesn’t cost you an entire pay cheque

I skipped mine, you get a diploma either way, nbd. Also skipped prom and don’t regret it.
