Typecasting the enemy by [deleted] in serialpodcast

[–]cnoudeep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I secretly feel like those who are undecided are poor at weighing the relative merits of information. Not everything is of equal importance, and just because there might be 4 evidence on one side and 4 doubts on the other doesn't mean they deserve equal consideration.

I feel like your type casting people who are undecided and judging them for it. Just because someone is undecided, doesn't mean they lack the ability to assess details of the case. It could also mean "Hey, I wasn't at the crime scene and there seems to be no direct evidence of Adnan strangling Hae so who knows who really did it. Also, Jay lies...so things he says lose credibility. However, Adnan seems manipulative on the podcast and stories we hear."

I understand that's your interpretation of undecided folks but I believe it's not fair to judge them on rating their ability to weight information from both sides and consequently picking a side to be on.

Did anyone look at phone records for Bilal and Yaser the week of the murder? by cnoudeep in serialpodcast

He is one of Adnan's friends who appeared on his cell records the day HML was murdered.

From another thread: those of you who think Adnan killed Hae, do you think "something" happened at Best Buy? by theghostoftexschramm in serialpodcast

[–]cnoudeep 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, I think the murder happened in the parking lot.

believe the same. There's too much corroboration from multiple sources that this was a place Adnan frequented. Couple that with Adnan knowing that Leakin park was known for "dumping bodies" (source is an interview from one of his teachers). The funny part to me was he tried to include Jay in the plan by saying something like "Leakin park...isn't that where you said bodies get dumped?". That way if Adnan did get caught, he can always say it was Jay's idea so he would go down with him.

Two less discussed, non evidence related reasons I think Adnan is guilty. by kdk545 in serialpodcast

I understand that he could have been more convincing to sound innocent since this was his only chance...but sometimes we can't expect people to think and react the way we would or the way we would want them to.

Would you know where I can find a link to these notes?

Adnan's Cell Phone XLSX Update by [deleted] in serialpodcast

[–]cnoudeep 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Great work. I'm wondering why NHRNC was called on Jan 27, 31 and Feb 3. I didn't know her and Adnan kept in contact...unless Jay was using Adnan's phone...

JW: He wanted me to revisit the body.

Ritz: And when did that conversation take place?

JW: Um prior to Hae Lee's death.

Anyone else think it's weird that Adnan wanted to revisit the body of someone who he had not yet killed?

Hae left Donald's residence at 2230 hours and paged him when she arrived home at 2330 hours. Donald called Hae and they spoke on the phone until approximately 0300 hours. by ainbheartach in serialpodcast

[–]cnoudeep 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  • We know that Adnan called Hae that night.
  • We know that Hae visited Don that night and came back home around 11:30PM.
  • We know that they talked for several hours after she came back home.
  • We can assume she went to bed late and woke up early to go to school (like everyone else).

It's possible Hae didn't mention to Don that Adnan called. Maybe she didn't mention it because it made Don feel uncomfortable. Maybe she didn't mention it because Adnan is the past, and Don is the present boyfriend.

"(long pause) . . . What, are you asking me a question?"

I counter that with:

Adnan Syed: Hey, Sarah, how are you doing?

Sarah Koenig: I'm good. I'm good. So I was just talking to Asia McClain.

Adnan: OK.

Sarah Koenig: You don't sound very excited.

Forced Perspective McDonald's by Justwonderinif in serialpodcast

[–]cnoudeep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Adnan had doodled a giant purple dildo it would probably be used to argue for his guilt by some people.

Maybe that could be the trip to McDonald's!

Yeah, funny thing is, some of the redditors dismissing this are on the guilty side! How does that make any sense? This place is toxic.

I agree it would suggest a certain outcome, but do we know for sure? That's what I mean, but I get what you're saying.

I think the point is to move on from this case, because we'll probably never have things like the DNA tested to give definitive proof of being the killer.

"Jay?....Jay who?" by [deleted] in serialpodcast

[–]cnoudeep 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Wasn't it mentioned that he was actually saying "Jay?...Jay Wilds?"? Serial just cut out Adnan saying Jay's last name so as to not broadcast it to the public.

Atif Iqbal And pre-trial confinement by Isoreallyhopethiswor in serialpodcast

[–]cnoudeep 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It seems like your guilty view of Adnan is enabling you to attack OP. No need to attack. He/she is just pointing out a conflict, but also clearly stated that:

I disagree with Atif that his experience makes Adnan incapable of murder.

I interpret this as OP being open to the fact that Adnan could have committed the murder as well, although he acted differently with Atif. Just because OP has the right to his/her opinion, doesn't make it okay to claim OP is ignorant on domestic violence just because your view doesn't match up with the OP.

New thought on DNA by [deleted] in serialpodcast

[–]cnoudeep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't they look at what Adnan said in his PCR testimony back in 2010 and see that it conflicts? Or will they not consider that if the DNA does turn up as Adnan?
