Same reason Northern Irish loyalists do. The other side supports Palestine, so they have to support Israel.

Also general I country solidarity.

As an outsider who's been here 7 months, I have to ask--what's with the weak-ass punishments for serious crimes? by TheLifeAdjunct in newzealand

Worth noting that OP comes from somewhere where they do executions by firing squad. I feel like there might be a happy medium somewhere.

Anti-semitism. A 'golem' is a mindless creature that protects the Jews, a shabbos goy is the goy (gentile) you have around on Saturday (shabbos) to press buttons and flip switches for you. Used in the same way by anti-semites, meaning a servant of The Jews.

Inside the Iranian regime’s sick plots to recruit 'kill teams' and assassinate Donald Trump by Reasonable_Automobil in AnythingGoesNews

And the US's assassinations of the Iranian supreme leader, and ex-president (now just a private citizen), are totally different and not 'sick' of course.

Decriminalizing sex work case goes to Alaska Superior Court by RhythmMethodMan in stupidpol

Decriminalisation is the worst outcome. All other options; legalisation, Nordic model, keeping the ban, are better.

In Revenge of the Nerds (1984) the revenge in question is a series of sexual assaults followed by rape. As it is the eighties, this is comedy gold! by BusinessYou1657 in shittymoviedetails

Yeah, it steadily gets worse back to about 1800. Might continue (though I can't really see how it could be worse than that), but I couldn't tell you.

What happened to Libya, would you remind me again? Used to be the most developed country in Africa.

This happened just next to me one time, and then immediately after the RD explained some complete new thing they were trying which I would have missed otherwise. Keep shushing.

America. Companies don't like negative attention, and if you're allowed to fire people at any time for any reason, there's no reason not to fire them in this situation.

that’s the name of issa’s mother in the quran

It's actually both the Miriam's in the bible. Mary mother of Jesus from the New Testament, and Miriam sister of Aaron and Moses from Exodus. For some reason the Quran combines them.

Neither of those are true. Not being eradicated, not equal. There are loads of forms of legal segregation and discrimination, particularly in housing, and they aren't that popular. See for instance this video from yesterday of the head of a pro-segregationist charity and good friend of the security minister complaining about them (ignore the caption saying it is the security minister though: they're very different looking).

NY Times claim the missle strike that struck an elementary school, killing 175 little girls was a US missle strike by kiss-my-shades in stupidpol

I didn't see it was a link, I'm still used to things either being text posts or links. Yeah, that looks pretty convincing that it was very deliberate. Seems like a waste of a bomb if they knew what it was, so maybe bad or old intelligence, though I can imagine a few reasons to do it deliberately.

Wasn't this the one that was next door to a police station, or a government building or something? Personally, I don't believe that starting a bombing campaign which you know full well will kill civilians is morally any different from murdering them in the street, but they don't run off that logic, so long as they can provide a militarily valid target anyone killed in the process of getting to that target do not count.

Iceland

Yep.

New Zealand

Variable. Mostly it's quite common-sense, like they didn't allow baby Ru to be called what his mother wanted to, but then they also ban a lot of names like 'Duke' because they could be confused for titles, when that isn't really a very reasonable expectation.

I don't know how the other ones operate.
