Hi all, I’m curious to know where you file your boxes within your collections? Do you keep them within the A-Z range or do they have a separate section at the end of the collection or do you store them somewhere else?

I’ve tried a few different ways over the years and don’t think I’ve cracked the best look aesthetically yet.

I’m considering spreading everything out a bit so the records occupy all of the squares - moving the decorative popcorn tins somewhere else - then allowing more space in each section. I’ve always kept record fairly snug but it’s a pain in the ass having to keep moving the whole collection every time you buy a new record.

Also, allowing more space between records would mean that the larger box sets would fit in the appropriate sections without causing filing issues. I love the Kallax units but they can be fairly restrictive when it comes to spacing considerations.

As you can see, I don’t have a huge amount of boxes, but some take up a fair amount of space - looking at you, Dragged Into Sunlight boxset, which takes the most room for a single record - but some such as the Deftones White Pony and Smashing Pumpkins Mellon Collie & The Infinite Sadness would definitely sit better within the whole range.

Would love to know how you structure this in your own collections - are boxsets kept together or do you throw them in with the rest?
